Me too when I can. Since sis Kathy's came out so gorgeous!! Mahalo sis Jen
Thanks! I'm going to finish up the cards using those two other pieces later. A friend called a bit ago and wants to go to our LSS. How can I say no? LOL
Good Morning everyone. Just got caught up on the chatter (I think)....
Jennifer thanks for posting the Gina K video. And Kathy, thanks for the tip of getting a freshly fallen leaf. I want to get out and get some leaves, but am going to meet up with a friend today for lunch. Have not been in the craft room lately. Got my E card done, just not posted yet. And yesterday was G which I have not done yet.
Hi Melody, Pat, Catherine, Kandie, Victoria.
I hope and pray that Kandie and Victoria are feeling better today.
Ann - has the storm left? Good that Dani got an earlier date for surgery.
I went to my LSS today and came home with Tim holtz stamp platform! I have a Misti, too, and continue to love it but I like the idea of having a larger area to work on!
Yes, I purchased a TH platform as well! And I have two MISTI's!! As Kathy said I like the bigger surface to use!
Storms are gone and in replacement of them is humid and very hot weather.
No. 2 son was here all morning so no crafting done and no cleaning!! Yikes I am behind!
Please say some prayers for my DIL, she is undergoing surgery tomorrow for period problems.
I have to leave our house tomorrow at 4:30 A.M. to get to their house to watch the kids! Will be a long day and then the kids will be coming home with me for the weekend!! So I will not be around much over the weekend, starting tomorrow!
She is very nervous about the surgery!
DIL #2 is still dilated at 2! No more movement! She sees the doctor tomorrow!
Let me know what you think of the Tim Holtz platform!
I also went shopping and a Brother P-touch Embellish machine fell into my shopping basket. I assumed it was a runaway and bought it to give it a good home. It's supposed to be able to print on ribbon and everything. I'm putting the batteries and the cartridge in right now.

I'd love to know what you think of it! I never heard of printing on ribbon! Cool!
Hi y'all! Kathy, so glad to see you liked the video. I haven't had a chance to try them yet. I wish I had friends who would call me to go to a LSS. No one I know stamps.
Interesting that you all like the TH platform in addition to your Mistis. I'm quite happy with my Misti I won last year. No enabling me! I can't afford it! lol
Shirl, I can't wait to see some cards you make with leaves. I just sent bf's son out to scout me some leaves. =)
Kandie, I'm with Catherine... the restaurant deal sounds intriguing, but a little gross. lol
Catherine, I think of stuff like that too. I've seen many abandoned buildings and houses relatively locally... and I always wonder about stuff inside.. and what made people leave.
Ann, praying for your daughter in law... and for you! that's gonna be a long day.
Ohhh Kandie.. cool!!! I have their label maker.. I didn't know they made an embellish-er... So glad you gave it a good home.. you are such a sweetie! xD
Hi Victoria!!! *waves*
I need to do some b'day cards and am debating on making some or just using a couple from my stash.
Ann, prayers for your dil. Been out with a girlfriend all day. I just bought a newer brother p touch labeler. I have Jennifer McGuire to thank for the enabling on that one. But this embellisher is interesting.
I have the two sizes of Misti, but I would buy the T.H. one if I get a good price on it.

I paid $27. I'm sure you might find it online maybe a little cheaper, but then I didn't pay any shipping, just sales tax. I think retail is at least $39.99
My back hurts already so I'm guessing another painful night with little sleep. I really regret doing that chicken dance! I think that is why I'm still hurting five days later!
Kathy, there's a reason usually only the younger folk do the chicken dance, lol. Rest some more.
I have discovered something about myself. I am a buyer of gadgets, paper pads and butterflies. I catch myself looking at all the Fiskars and We R Memorykeepers sections of the craft stores now. HELP! Why buy one gadget when I can have six that do variations of the same thing!!!!!

Good morning everyone! I just caught up on the chatter. Yesterday was a busy day. It started with the discovery that poor little Honey had an intestinal disorder in the night. It looked like she tried to wake my DD up but she slept on so Honey left a mess on the carpet. Ugh! Poor little Honey, she still isn't doing well. It looks like a visit to the vet is in the cards for her. On the happy side, my youngest and I got our haircut - one of us was excited about it - hint, that would be me! My youngest hasn't had a haircut in ages and didn't want one but she really needed her split ends cut off. Now she is in mourning because her hair is 5 inches shorter. Funny girl!
Kathy - I'm sorry you are still in pain...but still glad you enjoyed yourself and did the chicken dance. Hopefully the fun was worth your pain.
Ann - praying for your DILs - both of them! And for you for your energy and stamina today and through the weekend.
Kandie - what a fun gadget for you to so kindly provide a home. That looks intriguing. I have a P-touch labeler as well. Unfortunately, I don't have a power cord, it is just powered by batteries. But mine is a basic machine. Like Kathy, I wish the tapes weren't so expensive but I love the labeler. That does look like a fun box/card project.
Wow, all of you with your multiple Mistis and now the TH platform too?! I have one Misti and am thankful for it though the TH platform looks interesting. It has features that I really like.
I'd say hi to everyone by name but I'm afraid I'd overlook a name so I'm taking the chicken way out! lol
Just stopping by. I've read through several pages of chatter. Our DD and her hubby are visiting with their new pet bunny. Younger DD might be more excited to see bunny than sister! LOL Our DS & new GF are coming this weekend. We are doing a mini-Thanksgiving dinner while everyone is here.
ho well add me too the listed busy weekend head. But, right broad lol We have family gathering this weekend. And church gathering this weekend too. And mom and Dad hoping be finished with the other house next week. And then my room painting and floor redone wood floor root out? Plus I need to more cards Lol
Well, the vet wasn't able to find really anything wrong with Honey. They have put her on a bland diet for a few days and an antibiotic. The good news is that she didn't have a fever or anything else that they could identify might be the problem. The bad news is they couldn't figure out what is wrong with her. Hopefully the bland diet and antibiotic will clear it up. In the meantime, she is scheduled for surgery next month to get her fixed and probably have some bad teeth pulled. She'll have her dental extractions almost a month after her "mom" (my oldest DD) has her wisdom teeth extracted. DD's wisdom teeth removal is next Friday. Always something exciting going on around here!
Is anyone else having trouble getting to different posts?
Catherine, that is good news about Honey. Dusty just had her teeth cleaned and two bad teeth pulled. She had to be put under anesthesia and I was worried sick. I will keep Honey in my thoughts and prayers.
I talked DH into watching a Miss Marple movie. He's never seen anything by Agatha Christie. I only heard him snore once, lol.
Good night, everyone.

Hi all...seems things just don't settle down around here...so can't find chat time.
I've been trying to catch up...and hoping all of you who are under the weather get to feeling much better (Ann, Kathy, Kandie, and whoever else needs to be added)!
We had four days of soft rain off and on for four days...it was delightful...I'm sure it helped the fires on Mt. Ranier and the Oregon Columbia River area.
I'm on a "watchful" diet...watching my sugar intake...in the pre-diabetic range...cutting down on wonderful candy bars, surgary goodies, and carbohydrates...you'd be proud. I had a salad instead of past while dining out with my oldest DH, and having apples and fresh ground peanut butter instead of English muffin toast and peanut butter. EM's have a lot of sugar as it turns out.
Finally got into my craft room today, and made a card that has been roaming around in my brain for two weeks. It was originally going to be an anniversary card with sentiment..."Life is beautiful with two!" Then, it was going to be a shaker card, but, I think I'm using it for one of my family October birthdays as it is a fall theme. I posted it in Round 8, Letter F...take a peek: A Peek at Fall!
Must get to bed early...I've had too many late nights and a few almost all-nighters...must catch up...so signing off!

Good morning, whooee, already hot and so humid. 100% humidity. Even with the air on we are sweating. Little Dusty Dog is panting. I put sheets on the couch for her to lay on to cool off.
One more try at the Humira injections to be covered through a Humira program. We filled out all kinds of financial paperwork. Just waiting now for the probable denial.
Homemade pancakes for Saturday breakfast! Yum!

I've made a decision. If no one minds, I'm not going to play this round. I will only come in and chat and try to comment on your cards. I'm so far behind and it will soon be time for falliday fest. There's just no time for me and I don't want to stress trying to get caught up. Its another gorgeous day here. The wedding would've worked this weekend too, although this time there are leaves on the ground.
Kathy ~ I totally understand. You can certainly jump back in anytime you want or just make a card here & there. Take the pressure off for awhile. Everyone needs a break now and then.
