Ina - that is so sweet of you! I'm sure I'll be able to swing it.. it more the "guilt" since we're still trying to pay down debt and all.....

I only got $100 too.
And it went straight to my car payment....didnt' pass go.. didn't collect interest.. just straight to the bank.

Really Janet, I thought the HST one wasn't supposed to be based on income! I got the $100 credit....though it makes no sense that I would get $300 if I was married (even without kids). How did they inform you, didn't you get the initial payment.......

Actually did some research on this for you.... LOL

A single person with no children and income of up to $80,000 would receive a benefit of $100 in each of June 2010, December 2010 and June 2011. The maximum benefit would be reduced by five per cent of income over $80,000, so a single person with income of $81,000, for example, would receive three benefits of $50 each. Single people with income over $82,000 would not receive a benefit.

http://www.fin.gov.on.ca/en/budget/o...009/chpt3.html
scroll down and read the section on Tax Breaks for People
is it possible that you are confusing the GST credit with the HST? the HST one is only 3 payments in total...the other one is an ongoing program from what I understand...

Yeah....read it again! Simple and government don't go in the same sentence!

Ina...I would call them to see why. If you filed your taxes you should have gotten either $100 if you are single or $300 for a couple.

Can't wait to meet you!

Ladies, which location do you all prefer?? I know Krissie, Suzanne, and Christyne prefer the Mississauga location as they're IN Mississauga...but for those that are coming from further away, what's more convenient for you ladies??

I said I would come if I had the night available ;) I'm excited!!

LOL Really? I thought I was the furthest. I had assumed you all were from the Brampton/Mississauga area. Wow! Glad to know I'm not the only one!

I visit Bradford often (Have family there) so I am very familiar with the area

The Mississauga location is 50 mins away for me - but I have to take the 407

The Queensway location is 58 mins away for me but I don't have to take the 407.

Either way (I have a transponder) but I think the Queensway Location is the most convenient as it's right on/off the highway... But again I am flexible

And I'm done rambling! Thanks for listening haha

Hey Ina,

How far are you from me? I'm not familiar with Fergus and it's distance from Cambridge. Is it near the highway (I know where Hwy 6 Guelph is)

We might be able to carpool for next month for sure as I'm planning on stopping by my parents house before I meet up with you gals (They live in Brampton)

Dion, it takes me about 45 min to get to Cambridge Hespeler. But I would not expect you to come to Fergus. I was thinking we could meet at the car park at the junction of Hwy 6 and 401.

Hey everyone!

Kay Sooooooo I can't sleep and I'm in my craft room watching law abiding citizen. What a movie...WOW! This guy is skilled!

I am having a scrapbooking/stamping give-a-way on JULY 18th

I used to have an Ebay store before I moved to Richmond Hill and I have lots of stuff I'm giving away for free...and anything like dies, scrapbook albums large and small, bazzill embellishments, Brads, Punches will be 2 for $1.00 all the way to 5 BUCKS.

But more of it is free than anything else just to get rid of it all.

For those of you that don't know me well...I live in Richmond Hill.
I don't drive so you'll rarely ever see me at the gathering you ladies have...but you will eventually

My Address is

280 Axminster Dr. for those who need it for their GPS
Or PM me and I'll Send my Cell number.

I'll be posting pics of the items I'm giving away...

It's prety sickening how much I have...lol...

Please help me UNLOAD!!!

If the date isn't good for you can alway come earlier if you want first pic

I've got a bunch of people coming on the 18th so I figured that would be a good date for anyone else who wanted to come.

I even posted a sign at the local Community Centre near by so I might end up with more people...you post the word FREE and they come running...LOL

Michelle, I'd love to come out and check out your goodies! If I can talk my friend into coming too, would we be able to come Monday evening? If not, I can come Tuesday, but Melissa is working evenings on tuesday.

Hi Ina!

Yes that would be fine...Monday it is, only if your friend can make it of course and then Karen can come too if she wants instead of Tuesday. Or you both could come Tuesday...what ever works for you..

Di was already here...lol...so most of the stuff I knew she would I put out.

She couldn't make any other day so I gathered what I could and she walked out with a lot of stuff..lol...but trust me when I tell you she didn't make a dent....lol...

She'll tell you what I have...

I didn't know there was a car park at hwy 6 (north or south exit?) Then again, I never really get off there - unless i was heading to Burlington or Oakville.

I would be more than happy to drive us down there and pick you up from the car park. I frequently drive down there so I know my way around.

I can visit the fam another time ;)

Let me know if you'd like to car pool.

Yep...I stopped by Michelle's today before heading out to Vaughan Mills and trust her when she says she has A LOT of stuff!!!! Like TONS!! Don't expect to leave there in less than an hour!!!

Thanks again for accomodating me today Michelle! I have so many new goodies to play with now!

As for the cataloguing...I used to do it by alphabetical order regardless of the category since that's the way it's stored in my cabinets. But then I found it hard to find a specific stamp that I was looking for if I didn't know the name, so I ended up cataloguing it by category in alphabetical order. For example, my book is divided into sections for Christmas, Halloween, Birthday, Floral, Sentiments only, etc..... then within those categories it's alphabetical, I guess it doesn't really have to be since it's in alphabetical in my cabinets so it's still easy to find but I'm kinda **** like that. I'm sure there's a better system but so far I find this works for me. Hope that helps.

Michelle, Have you got any paper that looks like maps or roads in you great-unload-athon? I'm also looking for anything (paper, stamps, brads, whatever) sea related such as mermaids, shells, sea horses, fish, etc.

If you do then maybe you can set aside for me. I could come on the day of our get together which is the Monday.
This is an off the wall suggestion and maybe rude to invite myself over but maybe we should change locations from Red Lobster to Michelle's house and bring pot luck appetizer stuff.

Sure no problem, I can do that for you.

As for the pot luck at my house...no problem there either
It's up to everyone else....

Sorry not to get back to you until now Michelle. Melissa and I can come anytime tomorrow afternoon (after 2) or evening. What suits you best?

I am pretty sure I have some map related paper you can have, Teresa. We'll have to figure out how to get it to you. I also have the Old World Map background stamp from SU! I'd be happy to stamp some images for you in whatever color works best for your project.

Right on! I have an idea for a card for a certain someone's punch swap and I'll need map or road paper for it.
