Hey there! I completely forgot about this thread! I came across it and realized, 'we're here now!' LOL!
I need to get back into stamping/scrapping. I am in need of some grown-up time. (note the word need...lol)
I think I have convinced DH to let me sign up to be a Demo again...still 'interviewing' potential uplines nearby. I am uber excited! GROWN UP TIME FOR ME....YAY! LOL!
If I EVER come back and say I don't have ribbon, you have my permission to whap me upside the head. between the stuff I bought plus all the sharing we did.. I have NO excuses any more!
we are already planning our return trip! Not to mention a Flea market run and possibly a ventiure to Photoscraps and XpedX.....
WHOOO! Now that was a FUN DAY! Thank you ladies for the time of my ribbon buying life! It doesn't get more fun than that. I'll post pics on the blog tonight.

I definitely need a run to XpedX, I'm running out of A2 size envelopes!
Glad you girls had a great time today!! We're planning a trip up there soon- on the bikes- and lunch at Cracker Barrel, right Kathi?!
Paula and I met up this morning for a Frosty and for me to give her her adhesive order. We had a very nice 2-hour chat!!! Paula, I had a great time!! I'll let you know when I go to Create IT Crafts, again!! Hope you had a nice dinner with your friends!

I NEED a trip to xpedx too! I am making invites for a formal dinner for my daughter and need 180 5 x 7 envelopes and 180 response card sized envelopes. I also want to browse as the last time I was there I was accompanied by daughter who said I didn't need anything else, so I didn't get to look around...
...and now I have to go to the ribbon outlet for those invites too!

Wow! Sounds like you girls had a fun time and got some good deals on ribbon. Hope I can go next time.
Mary, I enjoyed our chat too. I'm looking forward to going to Create IT Crafts. I did have a nice dinner. How was your ride?

The ride was great!! The weather was perfect! I only lasted about an hour and a half, though- boy, was I aching by the end of our ride!
And you didn't call me? :(
Just kidding, I was knee deep in dirt and weeds this afternoon! A friend of ours came by on his bike and wanted me to ride with him but by then I was just too much into trying to get the flower beds ready to plant some flowers in a few weeks! And that loving husband of mine has so much junk piled in front of my bike it will take me forever to get the darn thing out!
Good morning, Maryland!!! It's a beautiful day- although I hear that there are rains coming...boo!
I am SO achy and stiff this morning from my bike ride yesterday!! Boy, I really need to get used to it all over again!!! Hopefully the cold weather has gone now and we'll have more chances to get out.
Thanks, Amanda. Xpedx does sound like they have pretty good prices!!
Kathi- that's okay- between the 3 of us we have 6 saddlebags plus the big trunk on DH's bike, so we can buy LOTS of ribbon!! Oh, and DH has a very large luggage bag we can take, too, if we think we'll need it!
oh that's nothing..wait until you see Tracy's FIVE HUNDRED and THIRTY TWO yards on a spool!!!! Luckily she was feleing nice and shared with everybody. matches Kiwi very nicely.....
umm Ladies.. we have a problem..or at last I do. how in the heck am I going to safely store all my ribbon?! it HAS to be locked up in a plastic bin or something since the fur children like to snack. But at the same time I want it accessible so I can at least see what I have ....
seriously right Now I am thinking of taking the large Styrofoam box my steaks came in and rebagging all my non spooled ribbon individually by color.

And I also have a T-Bag that will fit over my sissy bar that can hold plenty of ribbon!

Dawnmarie, I have the same problem! My Siamese loves to chew on any ribbon he can find so all mine is kept in clear plastic tubs that I got cheap at Walmart after Christmas. Most of mine is on the regular size spools and I have them grouped by color. I keep all my SU ribbon in a separate tub so I can grab that when I need to coordinate with cardstock. I do have some other bags of ribbon and they are in a drawer in the bureau in the room where my stamp stuff is. I cannot have a piece of ribbon out anywhere where he can find it or it will be in shreds!

BTW- Amanda- do you have a move date, yet?
The movers will be here on the 27th and 28th to take all of my stuff to storage until our new house is ready around the first week of April sometime........
Yes they are moving us to temp living for a week. I know how stupid is that.

I love the tie holder storage that I've seen here on SCS but KeeKee would love it to. That would be way to much for her to handle.
