Good morning all.....Amanda, I am planning on visiting but won't participate in the swap as I won't have enough time. I do look forward to seeing/meeting all. Hope your week is sunny and your garden grows.....

Today's my turn to put DH to work! I've let him play all weekend so now it's time to get down to business and paint the kitchen!

I had a productive weekend, but am also glad it's over. DH built me an elevated flower bed in the back yard for my herbs and vegetables. So yesterday I got to help him haul bags of dirt and fill it and plant it. I also have lots of new stuff in my gallery, and I finally got my birthday cake last night...dh baked it (with help) but I had to frost it.

Hello MD Stampers!!!

There's no way I can make it through 107 pages of posts, lol. From what I did read, I think I'm pretty close to lots of you. I'm in Rising Sun, which is in Cecil County. I'm about an hour from Baltimore, 30-40 minutes from Harford Mall. I'm right next to the PA line near the Oxford area and if I decide to go to DE, it's about a half hour to get to Newark.

I have a soon to be 6 year old son and I'm a part-time SAHM. I like to tell myself that I have free time to stamp, in truth, I just lately realized the only way I get to do it is if I LEAVE THE HOUSE!!! I'm all for leaving the house, any time, lol.

Welcome to the group! actually some of our Shoe box swaps have been attended by people from PA so it probably isn't that big a deal.

Baltimore is about 30-40 minutes from me down in Pasadena.

Default On Fort Belvoir

I just mapped it and it says Meade is only about 1.5 hours from Fort Belvoir. I wonder if that's true or wishful thinking?!?!? I'm going to subscribe to this thread for any future swaps! DH deploys June 7 so it'll be me and my 8 year old - there's nothing like stamp trips to make time go by!!! She's a beginning stamper but I won't share all my stuff with her - I'm such a mean mommy.

Most of our stamping events are adult only though...

Mine deployed in January and will be back later this summer. it's gone by very quick thanks to these crazy people....

I would say that estimate is based upon traffic. I lived on Meade and worked in Alexandria (Old Towne area) and it took me under an hour most days, when it snowed or some idiot decided to threaten to jump off the WW Bridge, it took 3-5 hours to get home. Although, all that was pre-9/11 so there were no gates to go in and out either.

I was gonna say...Meade is less then 30 minutes to downtown...unless you are counting the time it takes to find a parking garage once you get there. But the drive into the city itself is quick.

I'll keep that in mind, maybe plan a sleep over for her at a friend's house the night before an event. If that works out good, if not, no big deal. Thanks

there's PARKING downtown??! where?! heheheheh. I actually REFUSE to go into Baltimore now. its just far to stressful getting to anywhere.. both concerts we attended were absolute NIGHTmares to find parking or even get down the street the restaurant was on we had reservations for. I don't even like going to the Aquarium any more. I way prefer National Harbor now.

I have turned down several opportunities for concerts and other cultural events because John just goes off the deep end every.single.time we get near the Stadium or beyond. ruins the whole night for us. even changed our Zoo membership from Baltimore to National.

Hi girls! Do we have a count yet on who is heading up north on June 20th? Nikki, we are heading to stamp stores up in Amish Country that day if you'd like to meet us at 222 and 1 and join us for the day.

DH had an outpatient procedure done on Friday, so this weekend, I got to play nurse maid. What fun - NOT! If we all head to Amish Country in one vehicle, remind me to tell you about his passing out story. You will laugh!! I am now, but I wasn't then.

Not sure Tracy is a little under the weather. She sounded really bad on the phone today.

Well I know of at least 4 of us forsure.

Default Men as patients....

They are so not patient so what should we call them? Inpatients? I plan to go with Tracy to see you. Looking forward to it.

He's doing better now that the catheter is out. We had to remove that yesterday morning. He had a procedure done on his bladder. Won't know if it works until 3-4 months from now once the swelling goes down.

Yep, he doesn't know what patience is. He hates to sit around. Friday was his only day of being told to do nothing, since he was so groggy. Saturday he was out in the garden planting stuff and cutting the lawn.

yours sounds like mine.. he's had several surgeries on his ear for problems and is always given ten days convalescent leave.. and I am lucky if he takes the weekend off.

even after the one were there were Post Op complications and he ended up back in the ER .... but they can be the WORST babies, too.

Cindy- I hope he heals fast. You ladies are lucky. My DH works like a bear at work and then I can't get him to move once he sits down.
