If you want to protect something that you are mailing simply cut a small piece of bubbly wrap and place over the 'area' that is to be protected. It may add a bit of volume and change your postage...

Embossing troubles

Keeping the suface clean helps, always as well as making sure your hands are 'clean'. I often choose to use color ink and 'fine' clear embossing powder for my projects.
