I had the same problem when I first got mine and then I read somewhere(Gina's tutorial?) that you should use cotton thread, not polyester and it worked beautifully after that! I love mine!

This gun rocks! It is big and bulky and it took me a bit to get used to it and now I never use anything else!!! I think it is way worth the money...my other small tape runners broke all of the time!
