Well I'm working on a dpl, but haven't finished it yet. I did get some cards done today though (if you want to check them out, they are in my gallery. I figure we are all busy, so I'm not expecting it).

What fabulous ideas! Can't wait to see the product.
I am almost done with my scraplift of your fab LO too. I have been working hard today, which is a change since I've been down and out lately. I'm going to try to finish the month strong

But I'm going to visit 3 of them, about a 6 hour trip away, durnig spring break then with new pics maybe my mood will change

You sound like me! I stay up til 3 am or so when I go away to my scrapbook retreats (leaving today for one this weekend). I am usually up by 8am because I can't sleep good when not at home. By Sunday, I am dragging though and don't even expect me to do anything on Monday. LOL! I hope to reach my YTD goal this weekend. My car is already packed and there is barely room for the girls to sit while we do what has to be done today before I leave.

52 Week Challenge #11 - 2010
Good Morning Everybody!
It's Thursday.... I hope everyone had a Happy St. Patty's day, and in staying with our "Family Tree" theme, to honor and celebrate my Irish Ancestors and heritage, our Challenge today will be a RECIPE challenge.
Every September barbecue fans from all over the world flock to Lisdoonvarna, Ireland for the World Cup Barbecue Championship. The recipe for the famous Maguire's Barbecue Sauce was written down in the 17th century and lost in a family bible, only to be found again recently. This tomato based sauce is mild in flavor with a Worcestershire taste and can still be found being used in lots of homes today. Not only does Ireland know all about real barbecue but they buy gas and charcoal grills at a rate that has attracted the business of manufacturers all over the world. Virtually any grill or smoker you can buy in the United States can be bought on the Emerald Isle. With one of the fastest growing economies in Europe the Irish are hitting the patio and they are grilling.
Grilled Corned-Beef Brisket
This recipe is a great make ahead meal item. You can marinade it overnight and have it ready for dinner the next day. Prep Time: 10 minutes and Cook Time: 12 minutes
Ingredients:
* 1 beef brisket or flank steak, about 2 pounds
* 1/2 cup applesauce, unsweetened
* 1/4 cup tomato sauce
* 1/3 cup soy sauce
* 2 cloves garlic, minced
* 1/2 cup chopped onion
* 2 bay leaves
* 1 tablespoon pickling spices
* 1/2 cup maple-flavored or pancake syrup
* 1/4 cup yellow mustard
* 2 tablespoons of Irish whiskey, beer or cider vinegar
* 1/2 teaspoon whole black pepper corns
Preparation:
Place brisket or flank steak in a resealable plastic bag. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over steak. Seal bag and refrigerate overnight. Preheat grill for medium-high heat. Remove steaks from bag making sure to reserve marinade. Place marinade in a small saucepan and bring to a boil, reduce heat and allow to simmer for 6-8 minutes. Place flank steaks on a lightly oiled grill grate and cook for 6 minutes per side. Remove from heat, drizzle with sauce, and serve.
So the scrapping part of the challenge today would be to branch out your Family Tree by creating a vintage or heritage page about someone in your family, using any of the Irish colors that inspire you.
:::::::Remember you get Bonus points if you "Go Green" on your page... (choose from the following)
1. "Go Green" by using the color green.
2. "Go Green" by using up some stash.
3. "Go Green" by recycling embellishments or accents.
4. "Go Green" by using limited supplies.
My inspiration came from the Green Irish color, the brown from the Corned Beef and the White from the rich Irish potatoes...
Have a fun and "productive" weekend!

Hi Ladies!
Am busy getting myself organized for my first ever 4 day scrap retreat!!!!!!!
Can you hear my excitement from where you are?! I'm pretty darn thrilled, I have to say!
I've narrowed down my "must haves" and made sure to match c/s to dps to embellies so that I don't feel like I have to bring everything I own (gulp!)...and I know that the other gals are bringing a ton of tools and equipment so I will be sharing with them. I am walking onto the ferry so plan to have two big wheeled suitcases...and maybe a wee backpack for some clothes. I'd leave jammies before chipboard, let me tell you! ;-)
Hope you are all well!
Kristin

Good Morning Friends....
I am having my own little scrapping retreat here all alone this weekend. Boys leave for Scout Camp in an hour and DH has to work a double shift today and tomorrow.
So.... Anyone up for a few Pantry Challenges with some prizes?????

This sounds like so much fun... and I agree chipboard before jammies all the way! :mrgreen:
Ok so I finally made the title page for my baby's album. I knew I wanted to have the blurred photo effect in the background that I have seen so many of you do. I am not sure I am in love with this layout though. It is ok...but feel like it's not quite what I had envisioned. Anyway I am at 2/15 for the month! Better get moving huh?
Well the stitches in my thumb are out and the cut has healed, however, I have no feeling in the thumb. Still clumsy with stuff and drop things but adjusting. Doctor said it could take some time (long time) for the nerves to grow back. Decided to get back into my scrapping and get some work done. The page of my mom and her brothers and sisters had been sitting on my desk half done since January and I finished it sometime last month after the stitches came out. Not my best work as my thumb was giving me issues and my mojo was definitely absent. I think I did a better job on the second layout.
I had my scrapbook class this morning. The first one anyone besides my mom that anyone ever came to! LOL! This class only wanted 12x12 pages, but when I do it again next week (at my mom's!!) there aer some who want 8x11. So, you'll see a bit of a repeat next week, hee hee. But I am excited anyway!
Well ladies it looks like the majority decision for VSBN is to have it four times a year. Due to a breakdown in communication last month, I am doing the call-out now for VSBN coordinators. It will be a quick turnaround but I think that will be more fun than a three month lead-in...who's up for this exciting position? I will gladly help out and guide the next coordinators if so desired. Please check out the call-out HERE and spread the word! :-)
I got some pages finished this weekend. I'll take pictures this afternoon and load em up. Hope everyone is having a Happy Monday!

It is kind of weird though because they aren't showing up in my personal gallery but they are in the 12x12 and the SBC10Mar gallery.

I just read this on the Wed. card challenge page that was just posted:
"countrybeamer passed this info on to us: If you have uploaded a card and can't see it in your own gallery....check the very last page of your gallery (the oldest cards in your gallery). Some of today's uploads (not just mine) are being dated "1901" and they show up at the *bottom* of your gallery!"
