I so know how you feel. I am not ready for those teenage years but they are coming up quickly. My oldest DD is turning 12 in a few months but we have been doing this hormone thing for at least the past 6 months. It feels as though an alien has invaded the body of my sweet baby girl!
Mine are 14.5 & 11...it seems better for the older one now...so maybe when the cycle starts they get more 'even' tempered. It does seem that the 'pre-teen' stage is worse. However, DD1 starts HS next year and that may all change .
Thanks for all of the encouragement ladies - and I needed the Brett Favre joke (I too laughed out loud). I was able to spend a big chunk of the day editing and ordering photos for my pages. Woo-Hoo. Here's to something accomplished!
Just do what you can when you can with what you have...that's my motto. But also be sure to have Momma Time or it's all for naught...a grumpy momma is not a fun momma. Sounds like you got a good 'Momma' day in yesterday :-)
Lot's of rain for the past two days so our Lacrosse game was cancelled. Today is my 'photo' day...back up on external hard drive! I also have two large projects to work on. FYI, don't let people know you like working on photo projects...you become the automatic go-to person! I also hope to get photos printed today so I can scrap SOON!
Hope you all have a lovely weekend! I'll be leaving luv in the gallery later today :-)
Girl drama at my house...don't think I'm going to live through this puberty thing with two girls! So I got nothing done ~ I was too drained after trying to settle ruffled feathers (so to speak)...all is better today...must've been an early PMS day for them...maybe I'll scrap over the weekend...hope you're all having a good day...I'll be leaving luv in the gallery later today :-)
Hmm, so having 2 drama mamas in the house, just now ages 7 and 4, doesn't bode well for me, huh? ;)
Ladies, I am looking to join a scrapbook kit club. I want some stamping, and a focus on new/trendy products and techniques. An idea booklet or technique directions would be a bonus.

Which kit club best suites my needs??
So I do work for this company (Scraptivity!), so my opinion is slightly biased in that respect. About every other month or so, they have stamps in their kits (this is one that they do). Specifically on the trendiness of the kits-> they just had a blog post, that links to a Moxie Fab blog post about trends: http://scraptivity.com/blog/2010/03/09/trends/
This was about their February Kit and they had this great technique with the lace that I did on this card:
And they send out a newsletter, each month with the kit, called Notions. It has one focus project that is step by step, tips on the items in your kit, a different sketch each month and each of the DT's take on it, and more. You can look at this month and last months newsletter because they started putting them online: http://www.scraptivity.com/newsletter.html
We have a current Spring Fling challenges going on that is leading up to a Crop weekend for National Scrapbook Day. We are going to have prizes and challenges and games and just trying to have fun while getting pages done (just like this thread

Will definately scrap it, but haven't thought about colors at all! Ideas?
I did my scrapbook colors the same I did for my wedding colors, white, black and purple. I was very lenient with the purple, using all shades. I like how it turned out. So many different ways to go about it, good luck!

I did! It was wonderful! You think I would have learned by now that if I don't take care of me I'm no good at taking care of those who really need me. My amazing DH is helping me learn that. Just now, he encoraged me to "check on that scrapbooking website that I like so much" (which would be SCS) because he knows it's something I enjoy. I think I'll keep him.
Yeah!!! I did 3 digi pages yesterday for my scouts bridging book...which is soon. I did get a PILE of photos scanned and backed up yesterday too...so a nice relaxing, productive day :-)

Been working, but I'm running a bit behind. :( I'm trying to get 1 LO a day, but idk how many I've done so far? Still battling my sinus infection, but got some meds last week, so I should be on the mend. Hope to catch up soon.

Bummer. I hope you start feling better soon. I too live in the south and it seems like allergies and sinus problems go with the territory. Praying the scrapbooking bug will overtake the sinus bug!
Can't believe I already have pages done for March... now if I could just get caught up on the gallery. I'm still on February, but it's too good to rush through. Here's the second night of my week of nights as the chief resident. I think the conversation I had with the student was pretty funny.
Hello Ladies. I haven't made any progress on scrappin' so far this month. Just not feeling creative. I hope I get some inspiration soon. I did post a fun challenge for tomorrow for all the Mom's out there. Check it out, I think you'll have fun with it.
I hope to have some creations to share with you all soon. :p

Haley-
I love your signature. It made me laugh. I set little goals and have yet to make them... but I'm still having fun. The pics and papers will always be there when you're ready for them.
Howdy girls! It's a slow day at the bank so I just had the opportunity to look at the first page of the gallery for SBC10Mar and can I just say WOW!
There are some truly fabulous creations in there and I think my inspiration to scrap is back after seeing all your great work. Awesome job!;)
Whew...I did FOUR digi pages today and THREE yesterday...my eyes are burning ;-) Nothing like realizing the end of the school year is around the corner to get you movin'! I have a Scout album I've been working on and off for about six months. I have 35 pages done and about two more years to go through...why do I start these things!

SO here is my first page with photos for March...yeah I am dragging! Sorry I have been MIA! Computer needed repairs for about a week and that just threw me off. I was on such a roll and then after a week off it has been hard to start again. I am hoping this page jump started me though. I still ahve my goal of 12 pages for March (13 to make up for being 1 short in Feb) Maybe soon I will learn how to make a pretty link, but in the interest of time today here is the link to my page!
Wow, great job Patti!
You guys have had some fun chatter lately! I've been commenting inthe gallery and finally got some pages of my own done today! Not sure when I can get those loaded, but I am up to 7 for the month! And I have two scrapbook classes coming up so that will get me 12 more pages. Very excited.

Need some ideas. I want to do a small faux tire track along my page, but I have no idea how to get the desired effect. Suggestions??
Hey Liz...you don't happen to have access to a toy truck do you? I know you have a daughter and might not but using a black ink pad on the tire just like a stamping wheel would give you a tire track....just a thought.
Also 3 black pieces of rick rack ribbon side by side with two slim strips of black c/s on the outsides would give you that look.

Just my 2 cents ;)
You are AWESOME. I will try to find a toy car tomorrow - she may have one from a happy meal.
