Morning all, just got through all the chitter-chatter....I am off to work. my last NINE hour day this week, 4 hours tomorrow and then FREE for the weekend, going to get another baseball "fix" (I gotta get those in before the REAL season starts ya know!)
Yvonne, did the contractors start on Tuesday or could you postpone them?

You would think I would be getting packed, NO, I am shopping for stuff to wear. I can't find anything but fall clothes :(

I have been on 8 cruises. Depending on what you like to is what clothes to wear. If you will be on the deck hanging out or sunbathing a bathing suit and cover-up is good for most days. You are going for 5 days so a few shorts. One real dressy outfit for Captain's night. The ladies and men really get dressed up, evening gowns and suits or tuxes. Most cruises it is casal dress at night (no shorts or jeans unless you are not eating in the dining room). PM me if you need more details. Have a great time. Now start packing.

yeah this is truly a summer of travel! I get in just in time to do laundry and repack! Just to top it off my son and I have been invited to the beach with his best friends family in August!
For the Girls who missed the HPC, so much happens that it is hard to explain everything. I was reading Joy's messages last night and if I wasn't at the HPC I would totally have thought Chris was mowing her grass. LOL. Now you know I wasn't BAD at HPC. I just don't want people to think I am this HOLY (as in church going) HO. I just want to have FUN and be me in life now. Well, no one told us what Manda's name is now. I know but am not revealing it. Unless you were at the HPC you will not understand.

That would work for me! I LOVE Austin and I have never been to San Antonio, but would like to go!
I have family in San Antonio and I use to live in Austin. Houston is so humid and since I live in Dallas I don't want to meet here, too close for "emergency" home calls.
I would love Texas cause I have friends there too, but I also have friends and family in Cali.. so either one would work for me. THe only thing that would make it difficult for me would be if the airfare is insane... plus I would probably have to come with Sami.. depending on when it is.. so whatever the hos decide.. I will find a way!
Hey ladies, I just uploaded oodles of cards into my gallery. I haven't been keeping up, so almost every swap that I have done this summer is in there now!
Just keep in mind that where-ever we have the next one, if it's in your state, it will take some planning, like hotel, place for the shoebox swap, etc. So, if you are wanting to host it, let us know, b/c you have big shoes to fill following Scrappy's awesome planning and hosting!

Wouldn't that be cool?!?! Then I wouldn't have to worry about flying! When I went to Boston with DH...he was so quiet all the way I SWEAR I kept feeling the plain do "dips" and thought I was gonna pass out! LMAO!!! That way we can chit chat all the way to the Lone Star State! ;) OH...and JoBroHo wants to attend too!!! What a proud momma!

So, ya’ll know about my little airline issue I had earlier this week, I just got another e-mail from them, with ANOTHER schedule change, they moved the date I am flying out to 09/08 instead of 9/19 (the date my original reservation and first updated reservation was for). Needless to say I am HOT……..WTH? So Now I gotta call the carrier AGAIN,
And see if I can still get on that flight on the 19th (or any flight on the 19th). I used my miles for this, and I swear, it would be probably easier for me to just buy a freakin Amtrak ticket (or buy a plane ticket with another Carrier) cause I am getting so frustrated with this dang carrier….
So you had said that you could take a train to Texas? I took a train to Minnieapolis from here but when I tride to search Amtrak from here to Dallas it said nothing available so maybe I could go from here to where you are and then we could travel together from where you are to Texas? Does that make sense? So where are you exactly?

They would not tell me, but i did give em you know what ;) and they did change it back to the 19th. (Darn straight!!!!) UGH! I was on hold for 20 minutes just to get through.....

I'm a HOLY, as in Church going, Bible teaching, God fearing, very witty, fun loving HO and I don't care who knows it. Well obviously since I just posted it on the web.
Besides the word "holy" is defined as "set apart", it is not defined as conservative, frowning, no dancing on Sunday's, pious you can't have any fun b/c you've accepted Christ as your Savior. And come to think of it, I don't know any Christians that are like that anyway! In fact my Pastor knows I'm a HO and it cracks him up. I was meeting w/him last night and as we were discussing plans for teaching Romans, DJ called, I glanced on the cell and said, Oh, that just DJ HO, I'll call her later. He busted out laughing!
It's a shame something unpleasant happened to you to turn you off, just remember, Christian's are fallible b/c we are human, we aren't perfect aren't trying to be and never will be, but what sets us apart, what makes us holy is that we've accepted the gift of the Son dying on the cross, that's the gospel and that's what has set us apart.
I'm sure this post will be met w/dead silence, but that's okay, I don't mind.

Yup....they ARE CRAZY! and even the agent lady I chatted with (who was extremely patient with me) said she had never seen anything like it before....she put me on hold to show it to somebody else, cause she wanted to know why it happened.....I'm just HAPPY to be back on the 9/19 flight....
Oh and I have a $2.50 refund coming...whoopee.....

The airlines are just going crazy in general. I have a bunch of friends who are flying to HI (sadly I am unable to attend) and their plans keep getting changed so there original flight lands ten minutes after their connecting has taken off and other such things. I mean, doesn't anyone think this stuff through??
$2.50 is good, it's a bottle of Stickles... They keep this up you can all sorts of new stamping supplies!

I was very busy this morning!! These days, almost all of the cards that I make are for swaps, so that is what usually ends up in my gallery. If I am giving a person a card, I usually make it and send it and forget to take a picture!! Which is what happened with your card!
