So sorry Scherry!!! IT WAS SCHERRY WHO MADE THE SCRUMPTIOUS CAKE!!!! Sorry I didn't get your name right the first time. Let's see, you have been Sally, Shelley and last but certainly not least, SCHERRY!! Thanks for bearing with us!!! And we will miss you in Sept. Hopefully, you and Mary will make it in October!!
Here is the recipe that a few of you ladies have been looking for. If you have any questions, just pm me. It is as easy as pie (hmmmm), you don't even have to get out the mixer, just heat up the stove top.
This recipe is really good for that chocolate craving. The icing can be made with our without pecans. I happen to love it with the pecan, but it is good without them too. Gl
Texas Sheet Cake
2 cups flour
2 cuts sugar
 tsp salt
2 eggs
 cut sour cream
1 tsp baking soda
Sift together flour, sugar, salt and soda
Bring to a boil:
2 sticks margarine
1 cut water
6 Tbsp Cocoa
Whisk the eggs and the sour cream together, and fold into the dry ingredients. Slowly stir in the boiled ingredients.
Pour into cookie sheet that has been sprayed with Pam. . Bake 350 degrees for approximately 30 minutes. Pour icing on the cake, while the cake is still hot. Icing will be runny, so just spread with a spatula.
Icing
1 stick margarine
6 Tbsp milk
4 Tbsp COCOA
Bring to a boil. Remove from the heat and add of a box of sifted powered sugar. Stir in 1 tsp of Vanilla and 1 cup of pecans, if desired.

Hello! I just saw this thread and got really excited! I am new to the St. Louis area. I am at Scott AFB and would be interested in meeting fellow stampers in the area!
Welcome pregylady! It looks like we are meeting in St. Charles on the 29th of September this month from 1-4. Theresa Marie is hosting. PM her if you are interested and welcome to STL!!

Welcome to Scott! My hubby is ADAF and we PCSd here last October - we live off base but do alot on base too. Are you a demo?
I am a member of a great Scott group too - for any spouse of anyone at Scott - it is an online chat group through Yahoo Groups - let me know if you are interested and I will post a link. We share all kinds of good info about the area and things to do and do a few playdates or Moms nights out. You can participate as little or as much as you want.
Maybe sometime when we can both make it to a Stamp Day with this group we can ride together - - - they are usually on the west side of St. Louis -
Welcom again -
Marian

Hi guys! Just wanted to let you all know that I stopped by the Ink Spot yesterday and they have dozens of Bellas, including the new Witchybella and Clickabella! She ordered right before Wreathabella came out - bummer! Anyway, I chose more than I should have - plus they've got the new Thomas Kinkade stamps. I'm going to try them and see how I do. Anyway, just wanted you to know! :-) Looking forward to 29th! DH is in town this weekend so we're going to be doing lots of running around! Talk to you all later!

Tracy, I just got a couple of the TK stamps. I'm going to try them out this weekend. I'm very excited to see how they turn out.

Hi All! Well, I didn't bring my alphabet set to St. Louis with me and I need one to finish a swap due out this week. It has to be SU! in current catalog - other than that, I'm not picky! If anyone has one I could borrow for a couple days, I promise to get it right back to you (just have to do titles for calendar pages!). Let me know, thanks so much!

I wish that I could help, but I don't really use alphabets very often (at least on cards...I find they don't fit very well), and all of my sets are l o n g retired.

I have Big Deal and Letterpress. You are welcome to borrow either but I, too, am no where near Chesterfield. I get home most nights by 6 if you wanted to take a trip down to the City. I live right off of 40 or 44 at Jefferson.

Thanks Em! I've made arrangements to get them from Kelly but appreciate the offer!!
Quick question about next weekend. It's hard for me to make holidayy - christmas - cards without embossing with the irredescent ice ep. Will it be to hard to emboss at our gathering? Or will we even be by an outlet? Just thinking outloud.
I never PMed Theresa, but if I am on the list I am going to have to bail. DH wants to go next weekend to see his family, they are celebrating his father's and grandmother's birthday. Sorry ladies!

Hello Ladies!
Hope you are all ready to have some fun this weekend!
Come on over to St. Charles for a great afternoon of stampin' and chattin'!
Below is a list of ladies that are confirmed. Let me know if you are able to come and are not on the list or if you are on the list and unable to come.
Ladies, I have the current count at 13. Holiday themed shoe box swap (Halloween, Thanksgiving or Christmas, Hannaka - whatever!) You can use any brand supplies!
Remember the Ugly Sweater Contest! The winner will win a fabulous prize and be featured on the SCS web site!
I will send you ladies the directions to my house and let me know if you have any other questions.
If there are changes in the number I will post on this thread!
Hey I am planning on going on saturday, but I was wondering if I can bring my 6month old son? My husband is out of town for the nest six weeks? If not I can make other arrangements for him. Let me know thanks!
Hi ladies. Getting ready for Saturday and really trying to get in the holiday spirit, for our shoebox swap.
Tracy, I was wondering if you had any of the holiday bella's. I signed up for a Christmas bella swap, thinking I could get one at The Ink Spot, but they are already out of them, as of last week. I was wondering if you could bring one if you had it, and I can stamp a few of them. I would really appreciate it.
See you gals on Saturday. I will be there. Andrea, I don't know about the baby. I guess that would be up to Teresa. We did have an infant, at one of our first get together. I know I will volunteer to hold her, if you do bring her.:-D

Dianna, yes, I have Merrybella and may even have Wreathabella by then! I'll bring them for sure!! I went on a Bella buying spree a couple weeks ago and actually have quite a few now. Of course, did you see the new one today on the home page? Sweetybella or something like that! I love it!
I have a class at the Inkspot on Saturday (10 -12) but should be to Theresa's on time! See you all there!
Melanie - sorry I haven't gotten back with you - works been crazy! I'll bring the set Saturday and also the new 'in colors' you wanted to borrow. I'll bring them all since I can't remember what you needed! LOL! I wish I were a PC and could upgrade my memory!! :-) See you then!
I can't make it now! So sorry. I hope to make October! Keep me posted on the place and theme...any chance we can get a more central location. I'm happy to offer my home in the city!
I need two more Holiday Mini Catalogs and don't want to order a whole pack so I wondered if anyone had a couple I could buy? Let me know, thanks a bunch! :-)
Ok now are we down to 10? Well I will just bring swaps for 13. Maybe we can get some other ladies to join us.
Thanks Tracy. I am throwing extra white paper to stamp on in my bag of stuff to bring tomorrow.
See everyone soon.
I think I am ready! There have been a few ladies that had to cancel since the last count- As of 10:40p.m. I think there are 10 of us signed up for the swap tomorrow from 1-4:00p.m.
I am really looking forward to seeing you all and making your creations!
If you have any questions- contact me! Remember those UGLY SWEATERS!
Theresa, Thank you for an awesome time today!!!! We not only made beautiful cards but we ate such delicious food AND your proxy hostess Mary was totally gracious!!!! It was so much fun!!! Thanks again for everything!! Willow
Thanks Theresa for the great fun, food, and a really good stamping afternoon. We ran a little over, and left you a heck of a mess. We tried to straighten, but oh boy we didn't put a dent in it. I did the best I could at making sure there was nooooooooooooo cake left in that Pampered Chef 9X13 pan. I sure did enjoy that cake, and all the other goodies. Just an all around wonderful afternoon. Congrats to my very gracious passenger/driver, Andrea for winning the ugly sweater contest. She should have also won best ever baby contest. And what a cutie. I forgot to peek at what was in that bag, on the way home. Theresa made that winning bag, look so cute.
See ya all next months at Beths.
