Hi! I would love to do this sometime if you have a LP event!! Unfortunately, I can't trust my car to get there from here!! So unless there's someone from the Flint area who can take pity on me re: transport I have to pass :(
I would be interested. Hope I'm not to late.

Hi Jackie: Wish I could join you gals in Baraga, but I will have my family reunion that same weekend. I'll also miss Saynor because the new grandbaby will be due about that time. Bummers!
Hi again, I'd be happy to add your friends. Any chance I could get some real names and where you live. If you don't want to post it here...you can pm me through this web site or email me at [email protected]
Thanks

Hi! thanks for the info. I'm going to study up so I'll know you all when I meet you;) Deborah, I was just wondering, you said that you perform in local theater, would that include the Calumet Theater by any chance? That's the first thing we check when we roll into town, what's going on at the Theater that we might want to see!!
I was just looking at a web cam, Houghton, Copper Harbor, the Air port..... looks pretty chilly!!
Karen

Hey...In case anyone is interested in traveling next week...we have a fun event on this coming Monday, Feb. 2nd at 4 in the evening in Ashland, WI.
We are making Cards for Soldiers with donated materials from local businesses. The event is free in the Best Western Hotel on Hwy 2. All are welcome to attend.
We can't wait for summer though. Thanks for organizing! Jerri
Hi everyone. Here's still hoping I can make it to your big event! I've been checking all you yoopers out (looking at profiles and galleries) trying to get to know everyone, so I guess I should introduce myself:
I'm Karen Trueman a yooper wanna-be. My parents were born/raised in the Houghton/Hancock area and we vacationed up there every summer. I still have the house my Dad was born in.
I'm an RN working in Neonatal Intensive care (for 28 years!) and recently dropped down to part time 2 twelve hour shifts per week. I'm married, no kids, but have two big furbabies, Briards Rika and Spenser.
I started stamping about 4-5 years ago, got hooked in by my Friend/SU discount demo known as labullard here. We first met through the dogs which we both show and belong to the MI-OH Briard club.
Here's why I love the UP: UPphotocard by Karen Trueman at Splitcoaststampers
Too much info?;) Hope to meet you all in person! Karen
Hi Karen!
I'm not too prevalent in this thread, but I WILL be there, for sure!!! So glad you are coming and can't wait to meet you. And I about jumped out of my chair when I saw you are Linda Bullard's friend!!! Linda was a very good and encouraging online friend to me when I first got involved with SCS about 3 years ago. She is so, so talented and takes such patience with her work -- I just love everything she does. It would be so wonderful to be able to meet her someday!!!! Tell her I said *HI*!!! It'll be fun to meet you this summer -- can't wait!!!

Jerri, thanks for the invite. I wish we lived closer but we'd never make it there and back on a week-night without taking ~sick~ days from work. LOL
I'm sure you'll have a great time.

Just reminding everyone that our January pre registration deadline is nearing. At that point we will decide if we need bigger accommodations. If the decision is made to stay in the same place, we will have to limit attendance to 40 people. If you know of anyone who would like to attend and hasn't signed up yet have them pm or email me soon. Thanks for helping to get the word out there.
hi would love to come if someone could pick me up a linwood rd exit thanks debbie
I would be interested in coming. How far are you from Door County, WI?
Thanks,
Sharon
We are 3 1/2 or 4 hours north of Green Bay, WI. I'm not sure how far out Door County is from Green Bay, but maybe JoAnn or someone else will chime in soon! Would love to have you come!

Sharon! Linda is my greatest Enabler!! She is the one who got me hooked on Stampin' AND SCS! We were at her house working on a project for the Dog Club, and she got a delivery from Mr. Brown. A box of rubber stamps, backgrounders no less (I still remember seeing French Script for the first time;) ) But I though "gee what on earth could you do with those." Haha little did I know!! In fact I just got a delivery from her last Friday.
She admires your work too. Many times I've gotten an e-mail from Linda with a link to your blog (I should just subscribe) and a message "look what Sharon has done now!"
Looking forward to seeing you this Summer, Karen

Sharon,
I just did map quest, but they wouldn't take Door County as a place. Is there a specific town? I agree with Sharon, it will probably be 4 plus hours.
Thanks for inquiring and I hope you can join us.

Bailey's Harbor, WI is actually the town in Door County I was talking about. We have a cabin there that we use in the summer and I would love to coordinate a trip to the cabin along with a stamping event. What town in the UP do you hold your event and I can Map Quest it. I would really like to join you all for this event if I can work it out.

It has been so much fun reading the interest in the Stamping in the UP event! It sure takes the chill out of this wintery day..Just think ladies, the next time some of us meet we will "maybe" need airconditioning!! :o

I am excited that I'll be making it back to the UP and will be able to attend! Only wish it were under better circumstances...Thanks again Helen for getting me signed up and for being able to process everything better than I! :-)
See everyone again in July...when I'm sure I won't be able to wait for the Lake Superior air conditioning!
