Well, I plan to go cross-country skiing after work tonight for my first time this season. I hope to do some stamping when I get home after that, if I have any energy left!

Guess it should be skiing-- after all--stamping is an all-weather sport! hehe
No snow yet, Joan....but it's threatening. My dad grew up in Iron Mountain and the family hunting camp is near there in Amasa.
JoAnn - I live just outside of Amasa! We have about 4" of snow, but its cold today. Right now its -3, and its warmed up since I got up! Things are quieting down here - some of the hunters have left camp, and gone home. My hubby hasn't seen any antlers - except on his trail camera! He's having more fun with that then with hunting !

I guess we got your snow! We have about 12 inches. It was so beautiful yesterday.
The funny thing is there is a home Notre Dame Football game today (I live about 30 minutes from there) and they are shoveling the bleachers and are very worried about parking. They had to hire lots of temp employees to shovel. It is a big mess up there and they said a first in history. They probably wasn't as happy to see the snow as I was.
I have pictures on my blog our our snow in my yard.
The temps are a bit warmer here this week-- 30 degrees this a.m. on my way to work. Hope it stays this way for a bit...don't think our snow will go away tho'!
Hi Ladies...I know you don't check the thread everyday, but...if you do stop by would you leave a little comment to help us keep this on the front page. Thanks for helping.

Well, it certainly is looking a lot like winter around here! On my way down Quincy hill this morning at 6 am a car was in the ditch backwards with it's headlights on -- I attempted to slow down without applying my brakes too quickly. Gladly I made it to Yoga class with no mishaps.
Yoga at 6 a.m., Amy? You are a brave soul. I hate Quincy Hill and all the others in Houghton and Hancock this time of year. I'll stick to the flatlands of the rez.

We went to the Light Parade in Iron River last night. It was great to see the floats all lit up. There was quite a few people there braving the cold! We almost didn't go because of the snow - but we had more in Amasa then they did in Iron River! But not near what I read they got further north!!!

Hello...we are in Ashland and Washburn, WI...not far from Iron River and Ironwood. My good friend Phyllis and I run a small scrapbook store in Ashland. We would love to attend the get-together in Baraga, MI in July. Please add us to your list. Thanks, Jerri
I have about 20 more Christmas cards to make. I've been trying to go through SCS for some inspiration. Just can't make the same card over and over again. I get too bored. What inspires you?

Greetings to Jerri and Phyllis..I am originally from the Ironwood area and am glad that someone from "the west" has signed up. What is the name of your shop..in case some of us venture that far !!..? I get to Ironwood a few times a year..now I might have to keep going a bit farther. See you when the snow melts..Helen K.

The same as you...just looking through people's galleries and tweaking ideas to fit what I want. I agree too many of the same thing is really boring. Good luck.

My cards are all ready - all I need are the stamps! First I have to go to the bank to get a loan (lol)! Now to finish a few more projects. Thanks for the ideas.

Sounds like everyone is enjoying the hectic busy-ness of the season. Wrapping gifts and addressing cards are the last things I have to do. Hopefully cards will get done tonight. Remember to take time for yourselves.

Hi everyone! Don't want to sound "Bah-humbug" but I, for one, will be glad to start on my Baraga trades and shoebox swaps the first of the year! With all the snow we've gotten today I am already longing for signs of spring! Good luck, eh???
Wishing all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Healthy New Year!!!
Hi Patti, we are at the base, east side, of the Keweenaw peninsula. It's 4 hours from the Mackinaw bridge, so 4 plus what it would take you to get to the bridge. It would be a bit of a trip, but we'd love to have you.
