Hi everybody! I'm in Belmond, which is only 40 miles from Clear Lake/Mason City and Fort Dodge in the other direction! So nice to see some Iowa folks on here.
Des Moines would be a good gathering spot as it is more centrally located for most of us. I am 2 hours north so it would be no problem to come down for a gathering. Sounds like fun!
I am bout an hour from Des Moines, would be allot of fun
I am from the Clinton area (Eastern Iowa) - about 80 minutes from Iowa City and Cedar Rapids, an hour from Dubuque and 30 minutes from the Quad Cities.
Hi everyone
I too am from Cedar Rapids! Glad to see a few familiar faces! I was just thinking today that I need to have another swap soon the one a few weeks ago has left me craving! Hope to meet more of you at a swap!

Check under Eastern Iowa shoebox swap on this forum. Will try and remember to keep you up to date on the next one...we always have a blast and would love to have a new person join us.
I moved to about 45 minutes north of Waterloo about two years ago. There is a great SU demo near Hedrick, Iowa, Karen Roquet. She does regular classes at her house.
I am VERY interested in finding people in the Waterloo-Olwein-Sumner-New Hampton area to stamp with. Let me know!
Deb-we won't forget you. Haven't heard anymore from Crystal. Crystal are you out there????? Will definitely let you know if she has one. Have a great day.
I'm from Wisconsin, about 20 miles north of Milwaukee. I participate in quite a few shoebox events, etc here - a couple of weeks ago we had a scrapping/stamping weekend in Appleton, WI and one of my coworkers from our DesMoines branch came, she can't wait to have more stamping fun! Now we're looking for a shoebox or similar event that's around the Dubuque area so we Wisconsinites can drive part of the way and meet up with our Iowa friends.
Just saw this thread, I don't remember to check her very often. I am also in the Clinton area. Went to one shoebox swap last spring and would love to attend others in the area. I have a few friends who would be interested in attending also.
I have started a scrapping "club" that meets the 2nd Sunday of every month at a local Cedar Rapids, IA church. I send out a design layout in advance for anyone who wants to work on it. It really is intended to be a pretty open, no obligations group. Everyone can use thier own materials and are not required to purchase any kits. As I am a CTMH consultant I do have CTMH supplies available for purchase and any month that we get at least $150 someone who purchased that month is randomly selected to be hostess for the month and they receive the hostess rewards. If anyone is interested in more details e-mail me at [email protected].
You should get messages on this thread. Were you at the shoebox swap in Comanche last year? Guess I don't know you by your username. As far as I know there is nothing scheduled. Maybe again in the spring after the winter months.

It is days like today where I am thankful for the blessing of a warm house. Have to go get kids from school soon. We only got 3 inches and our school stayed open to the dismay of my kids.
I can relate to your kids, MariLynn!! My school district had school today. My husband and daughter's did not!! Oh well, they have to make up the day - I do not.
Stay warm!!
Kathy
You mean there is actually THAT STUFF TO DO FIRST before cardmaking. How awful!!!!! I have a hard time getting to my room to work. Don't think anyone will be going to work tomorrow. Heather will be here to take care of the baby, maybe I can shut myself in my room for a few hours. Wish me luck.

I would be interested if something gets set up. I am in the Des Moines area but would be willing to drive to have some stamping fun.
Also, I'll do a little self-promo. I joined {ippity} at the end of last year and to try to give my business a little kick start I am hosting a free make & take. No obligation - more details on my blog.

Hi, I'm up here in NE Iowa. Marquette...along the Mississippi. I have three different workshops I can attend monthly-Stampin Up.
Sometimes I'd just like to get together and stamp with others instead of paying to make cards. I've done workshops for four years and I love them. But getting together to do our own thing would be fun too!
