Anybody been playing with their preorder stuff? I had a peek at Tilly's blog, but no new catty stuff up. Kris has new In Colors and the new die, used in a unique way. Just curious... Me? I have been trying to figure out In Color combos.

P.S. Happy belated birthday to Diane and hope all went well with Linda!

OMG, I've been so busy!!!! I did play some more last night because my backorders finally got delivered. Will post later.

We went to the "Friends of the Poughkeepsie Library" book sale today. A whole box of kiddo books and 3 videos for $19! Bargain!! And the best part is that Janneke was completely entertained with boxes and boxes of books while I dug in. We are watching "A Bug's Life", and I will be reading Mickey Mouse, Pooh, Maisy, and Thomas books until my eyes pop out!! :)

hlw966 06-19-2009 04:31 PM

Some pics from last weekend's bike race. I was disappointed I didn't get a pic of me after the race.

And how the race is anticipated to be this weekend here.

diane617 06-20-2009 03:46 AM

so I'm at camp, it's supposed to rain ALL day and the are going to be a couple hundred people here reinacting medieval times. The group is called SCA-Society for Creative Anachronism. They are going to do battle in full armor later. Then they have invited me to the feast, which is authentic period food. Cool huh?
We do rent the camp to others on weekends when there is no troop interest. I still think I should do a stamping get together here.

hlw966 06-20-2009 05:01 AM

Any mud sliding planned??

Camp stamping sounds like a great idea!!

You should scrapbook the photos you do have and I hope this week's race is better than the little bit I watched of the video (turn right into the grass!)

I wish I had known you were going to camp for them! I have wanted to see that group...would consider joining some day. Although the weather today is absolutely miserable!!!

yes, they used the dining hall for fighting

then we had the feast, Oh My Gravy I am stuffed. We had bread, butter, mustard, salad, chicken bread and egg casserole type thingy, onions, carrots, roast beef, meatballs, rice, roman (fava) beans, roast chicken asparagus, strawberries, apple tart all cooked in authentic recipes by a prize winning chef. There was some mead flowing too!

mead doesn't appeal to me, but I don;t drink beer or ale or most alcoholic beverages. HATE red wine. Most of my drinks need something mixed in to make it palatable

arlenevita 06-21-2009 04:03 AM

I don't think I'd like mead but I do like red wine, white wine, good beers, and other such beverages. I will, however, admit that my vodka needs to be mixed with amaretto  (someday i will try vanilla vodka w/amaretto).

Usually I drink diet soda or water.

Glad to hear you are alive and well (sorta). ;) Rest up and mend. At least you don't have to worry about work and sick leave, etc.!
My card is done and will be in the mail tomorrow a.m.

Well, I guess not. I treat my bike to whatever Mother Nature dishes out. I snagged some pics from today's race (the last 4 pics). Beware - they are messy!

 YEAH! She "talks"!! Glad to know you're alive, Linda! Words of Wisdom from past experience: If you're in pain, take the drugs...if you're tired rest or take a nap...follow the doctor's orders...push yourself but push gently...slow and steady works best...do the physical therapy faithfully (hope you'll get a cutie therapist like I did...makes PT enjoyable!)...eat healthfully...

Wishing you a speedy recovery, Linda!

Do you hose down before you go in the house or do you just get the in shower fully clothed and wash your clothes while washing you??

conductorchik 06-21-2009 06:15 PM

WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

This weekend, DH and I made an offer on a house and the sellers accepted it without even counteroffering!!! WOOOOOOOOOT WOOOOOOOOOT!!!!!!!!

Inspection is Tuesday, and if everything goes smoothly, we will be closed before the end of July...........just in time for me to leave for convention. I plan on being packed and ready before convention, and have the kids and DH live out of the suitcases for a week. I can dream that he would move us while we are away, but....I'll keep dreaming :D

Here's a link to the house..it's in Endwell. Who would have thought I'd end up back where I grew up??? :D

arlenevita 06-21-2009 06:18 PM

Craftyland now has it's paper almost organized and {gasp} the paper holders labeled...Bold Brights, Tropical, Polka Dot, Stripes, DeNami, Patterns, Love-Hearts, etc., etc., etc.! But I still can't see the floor!! LOL!

I have SU! wood mounts and clamshell boxes for sale...anyone interested??
