I won last year. I followed the directions of the contest and submitted at least 2 cards per category. I used the newest Stampin' Up! stuff I had, too. I won in the Heat Embossing & Tone-on-Tone category.
Just make sure you submit your best work. I have no idea what they are looking for because I have submitted to Paper Crafts since then and have about a 10% acceptance rate, LOL!

Even the Rock Star pub queens tell me that their acceptance is about 10% from PC - so you're right up there, Debbie!

I think the *key* to this and lots of pub acceptance work---(contest or paid work) is to absolutely submit your BEST work but also submit something that someone who reads the magazine could reproduce.

i entered, but only in 2 categories. i don't know when we are supposed to hear anything. keeping fingers crossed for both of us!!!

Oh Good luck to you on that! I have never entered, meant to this time, with my card that won one of the places for 'adding color with markers, (my tiger lily card in my gallery) but sadly didnt get the card sent off in time. So I guess you would say yes, I'd love to have that honor ONE day! LOL!
I have always wanted to try contests and/or magazine submissions for publication, but don't think my work is quite up to par for that. Practice, practice, practice.

The magazine says "winners will be notified on or around April 13 by phone or email"

I told the ladies at my LSS that I would wear my tiara there if I won (I sure my 4 year old DD would approve as her preschool is next door!)
I missed the deadline last year when my son was born. Wouldn't trade him for a tiara (most days), but all those late night feedings made my brain fuzzy and I forgot the submission deadline!

Uhg I had forgotten all about it, as was my plan. I've not heard. course I'm not really expecting to hear anything. But as no one else is talking I guess I'll not give up hope.

Re: Stamping Royalty, I entered this year in 2 categories, but since the 4/13 notification deadline passed and i've heard nada, I'm guessing I am not a member of Stamping Royalty :(. I've tried finding results or updates on the PC site, but haven't seen anything yet.
I do have some publication submissions out there, and am waiting to hear back. Although, like SR, I'm guessing they only notify you if you're selected, so am crossing fingers to hear back something. Good luck to all the ladies (and gents) with card proposals out there waiting to go home with an editor.
