Hey all!! Just a few seconds to pop in and say "hello". My laundry basket is starting to make more and more noise (seemed like a good place to put her while I surfed)....oh, maybe not...she seems to have settled again.
Anyway, thank you for all the congrats. So far, it's been good. Recovery for me hasn't been too bad. We went out today and it reminded me to take it easy, but it was nice to get out of the house for awhile and for the most part, I don't seem worse for wear.
Claire is an angel so far. I know she'll have her moments, but mommy and daddy seem to be adjusting. She sure is precious!! There will be a pic of her on my blog tomorrow, if you want to swing by and check her out.
Melina, I've mentioned before that I'm not 100% sure I'll have the March challenge done. I actually did some work the night before Claire's birth on something that might work, but I have to get it put together. I'm hoping that I'll have time the next few days to do so, but it's hard to say.
Take care everyone. I'll try to get around to blogs...um...sometime. :p What a schedule!!
* Feb. 28 ~ Challenge #5 - Take a Leap and Try Something New! - Think of a color combo you hardly ever use or have never used and do it! It's leap year....take a leap and don't be scared! Have fun with it!
Yesterday's CAS challenge inspired me. I stay in the neutrals a lot with my crafting. I like getting out of my box! Try it!
I've attached yesterday's CAS creation (it's in my gallery too)
Hi Melina! It took me a while to come up with a card for yesterday's challenge. Your card turned out great- love your circles!
Did you see today's color challenge?...I'm so stumped on what I can make with those greens. Today's splitcoast colors are: Lucky Limeade, River Rock, Garden Green- Yikes! Think I'll pass on the splitcoast color challenge today. I don't have lucky limeade anyway.
Good morning ladies!!!. Sorry I've been MIA this couple of days. If there is a day that I can't comment or visit I feel lost :(. My mom is keeping me busy this days, but today is a calm day so I'll be crafting and catching up with challenges. Melina, your card is beautiful. It's hard for me to keep up with our weekly challenges, I have already a couple to do weekly and I'm missing ours, but I'm ok with our monthly ones thank goodness!!!. I'll be visiting blogs this afternoon, but first I HAVE to do some cards.
Have a great day everyone!!!

Good Morning! I hope you all had a great evening & I hope everyone is having a FAB day so far. We're packing up to go see our son graduate & I'm so excited! We only have about 5 hours with him but it's going to be the best 5 hours in my LIFE :-)

How wonderful! Hope you have a great visit and that graduation goes well!
I am home from work and it appears my hubby is still sleeping. Boy he must have been really tired today. I am trying to keep the dogs quiet so he can get some more rest.
Patty, I am sorry, just remember there is something better for you around the corner.
Jackie - Travel safe and enjoy the short time with your son. Congrats to him!
Everyone have a great nite! I need to go start some dinner... Not quiet sure what we are having yet.
Awe...thanks! Did you hear anything about the CAS design team yet?
Nope, got to the semi-finals. She had put a comment in the finalists post saying she is very conservative when it comes to the definition of CAS as far as picking the DT. I guess I had too many elements on my 2nd round card.
Oh well, 6th time wasn't the charm. Maybe next time. (I'm a gluten for punishment)

Oh, that stinks! I didn't realize that you have tried out so many times, gee your cards are awesome I don't get it.
Hello Ladies--I doubt that I will be here tomorrow morning as I am heading out early to help with the set up for the annual fund raiser for a humane society called The Fur Ball..It is Saturday night and the theme this year is Country Western. My friend Claudia and I are going to help with the decorations, set up of Silent Auction tables, help with the food stations, etc.
Good morning ladies!!! FRIDAYYYY!!!. I'll be working on my craft room today. I have several postings to do... lots of movement in my craft room this past days YAYYYY!!!.
Patty and Melina: I'm sorry you didn't make the DT...your cards are absolutely fantastic, can't understand it. I will have to see the DT creations then ;).
Barb: as usual... HAVE FUN MY FRIEND!!!
Heather: You must be feeding her and changing her and staring her for hours...I'm so jealous!!!. I miss those days so much!!!
Ladies: Have a great Friday and an awesome weekend. Our teachers here in BC are on strike... so no school Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday... HUGE WEEKEND FOR US!!!.
Hello ladies!
It's an odd day around here. Storms are brewing, tornadoes have already touched down and flattened 2 subdivisions just Northeast of us. There is another line of storms coming and threatening to go a little South of the earlier storm....not good for us. I pray we don't see any damage. This is so eerie of last Spring.
If you watch the Weather Channel, they are showing damage from Athens, Alabama (that's about 30 miles North of me). The two tornadoes that went through there this morning followed the same path the ones did back in April last year. I get chills every time I think of that day. We were out of power for 4 days. Food was scarce at stores b/c of road closings and damage control. It was a very scary time. I don't want to be in that situation again. I'm more nervous than I need to be I know, but once you live through something like April 27, 2011.....you tend to think the worst when you hear the word TORNADO.
Any prayers would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Melina! I saw on the news about the tornados. I forgot that you lived in Alabama. I'm so sorry and of course I'll be thining of thinking of you and your family. Hugs & prayers to you!
We did get most of the set up done for the Fur Ball tomorrow night--they have a few things left to do tomorrow afternoon--like setting up a corral out in the parking lot where they will have 2 horses to ride................... There are about 80 items on the silent auction along with 6 for a live auction. Some items are for pets and some for their human owners!
It started raining in the early afternoon, then turned to thick, wet snow around 3:00--that is when we were ready to leave, so it was slow going home on the freeway. We are to get around 6-8 inches overall tonight, but it will be done. Some flurries over the weekend, so we are good to go for the party tomorrow night.
I had a question for you all....would you be upset if an ebay seller was using photos of your cards to sell her stamp sets? I found a seller who is using photos of other people's cards (including mine) to sell her stamp sets and I'm sort of bothered by it.
Makes me think I need to go back and watermark all of my photos, but that probably wouldn't help since she's using photos that are watermarked.
ETA- Maybe watermarking my older photos would help because ebay is changing their rules again and sellers will soon not be allowed to have watermarked photos with another web address shown in the photo. They are doing this so that buyers won't be directed to another store off of ebay.

I don't blame you...I'd be a little upset if someone used my original art in their ads without asking or giving credit...that's just wrong.
Happy Friday Ladies! Today my son is having a sleep over for his 11th birthday party. The 5 little boys were getting a bit out of control tonight so I sent them outside with flashlights and said...go play zombies...yay...it's quiet in my house now. Outside is another story!
