FYI - I am leaving town tomorrow morning - early - for 11+ days. I will most likely not have time/internet to check in while I'm gone. I'll see you when I return.
Good Morning and Happy Tuesday. I was able to spend most of the day yesterday crafting and will also today. We are dog sitting our friend's dog, so I am trying to stay close to home this week. I might go over to my SU demo's house to help her finish her swap cards for convention--yes, she leaves tomorrow and always does these at the last minute. ;)
Good Morning. It will be a busy couple of days. A friend is coming in today and will stay until Monday. She is from northern Wisconsin and is taking the bus into Milwaukee this afternoon. I plan to take her to lunch at TGI Fridays as that is at Miller Park, home of the Brewers. The restaurant looks over the park and she along with her late hubby are big baseball fans. I think that will be fun.
Not sure what are in the plans for tomorrow as she does not move around too well--but I think she will be fine just hanging out here. I think I still will be able to play in the stamp room. Tomorrow night, roomie and I have tickets to see David Hyde Pierce--Niles Crane from Frazier. He is at Ten Chimneys, a local "attraction" that was the summer home of Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne--Broadway legends from the 30's to the 60's. We have done a tour of the estate a couple of times and once a year, a famous actor comes in a does a week fellowship. A few years ago we saw Dick Van Patten--of 8 is Enough. The program tomorrow night is a Conversation with Pierce-a moderator asks questions and takes some from the audience too. It is a fun evening!
As far as the rest of the weekend--nothing planned. And, the weather is supposed to be very nice too!
Hello girls, my apology for not be able to have my CG card ready for the 28th...
Had too many 'life's interruptions' and , starting today at noon we are taking off for our two wks camping vacay...(first week we will have NO internet at all...we'll be roughing it here :
Second week (from the 28th pm on) we will have internet at the camping place we'll be staying. I need this holiday more than words can say! (we are taking only ONE grandchild along...but the others will get their own turns too from middle of August on...)
I must put all my swaps/challenges on hold for now...but fear not!
Ya know I'll catch up...right? ;o)
Hello ladies--I hope your day is going well, even if it is a Monday.
I need to spend some time in the craft room today. I took our house guest to the bus station this morning and also had a couple of stops on the way home. I have a meeting tonight and also a couple of returns to do on the way. We have some friends coming in from Colorado the end of the week and have another golf outing in Green Bay on Friday. Then, Saturday, we leave for Palm Springs, CA as roomie has a convention there and are extending it a few days. Will be back on Sunday, the 3rd.
I have two swaps that I need to get postal by Thursday and also need to swap out the WS/PB swap I am hosting when the last of the packages arrive. Will be a busy week I am sure!

Oh, have a great time! Try and ride the Aerial Tram. Just a cool place Palm Springs is!
We are going to need these sunglasses today! Our temps are to hit 90 and with the heat index, it will be close to 100. First time this year it is so hot and I am glad I am staying inside!
Good Morning Ladies! This might be my last post until Sunday. I am headed to the Post Office this morning to mail the swapped out WS/PB cards, along with some swaps I completed. I have a couple of errands and some grocery shopping as we have out of town guests for the next two nights. Tomorrow is an early morning as we, along with our Colorado friends, will leave around 7 for Green Bay with Ovarian Cancer Golf Outing, that was started 4 years ago by one of my college roommates who sadly passed away of that disease 3 years ago. We will not be back home until around 10. Saturday we leave for California and I will probably not be online that day. I hope to see everyone on Sunday!
Good Morning from Palm Springs. It was quite a trip---literally and figuratively, getting here, so here is a recap................. The golf outing on Friday was great--in fact, we tied for first place! We got home around 11 Friday night. I had a voice mail on my cell Saturday morning that our connecting flight from Phoenix to Palm Springs was canceled. I called and was on hold for close to a half hour—then I picked up our landline and called from there. They picked up within a minute or two and our only option was to leave Milwaukee at 11:40 and go through Chicago, then Phoenix to Palm Springs. We would have to leave the house in one hour, at 10:00, instead of the 3:00 that we planned. Roomie was not packed, but I did have my clothes set aside. Our friends from Colorado were flying out of Chicago at 4:00 (I even asked the agent if there was a flight around that time from there, but nothing). They rearranged their rental car—with baggage and two golf bags, to fit our stuff and they dropped us off at Milwaukee airport, since they were going past and we would not need to leave a car there for 8 days. So—rushing for one hour, watering all flowers and vegetables while showing roomie’s sister what to do as she will do it while we are done (And she has memory issues, so that takes a bit of time to explain and diagram and explain again! I am checking off the list of things to remember to do—I always make that reminder list and we were off…………….. Yes, a bit frazzled, but on our way to the airport, our checked bag jammed in the trunk with our backpack and carryon between us in the back seat. A two plus hour layover in both Chicago and Phoenix and we arrived in Palm Springs about 7:30. We took a shuttle to the Renaissance Hotel to find out we were at the wrong one and our resort was a half hour, $60 taxi ride, away! We finally checked in and we have a gorgeous corner room with windows on two sides, views of the mountains from one and the golf course and pool from the other. Ahhhhh—we are set! And, it is only going to be 108-110 all week, with a low of 82 or so every night. It was just 90 at 1:00 last night! Dry Heat they Say!
Sorry to bore you, but that has been my past 24 some hours………………………
I hope you have a great Sunday and a wonderful start to a new week!
Hey ladies I want to apologize in case my card doesn't make it by tomorrow. I had every intention of getting it done. However, we leave tonight for two weeks of vacation and yesterday we had a minor emergency to deal with that has put me behind on getting ready to leave tonight and probably not getting my card finished. Sorry.

Hello from toasty Palm Springs. I had a nice day yesterday. I just hung out in the room in the morning, catching up on three days of emails and online stuff while roomie had a class. Lunch on the terrace and then we spent some time in and around the pool. It was cloudy, so it was bearable to be outside. I am not sure what I am going to do today--I think just hang out here and maybe tomorrow I will spend some time exploring a shopping area called El Paseo--the Rodeo Drive of the Desert. I am sure I will not buy anything, but it will be fun to look. ;)
Hi all,
I must apologize as I am way behind. I will be posting my butterflies after work and hopefully will be able to add on to the post June and Julys or will add them in the next couple of days...thanks for your patience.... ♥

Hey Barb, if you end up going to El Paseo and want something else to do, the JW Marriott Desert Springs Hotel is close by. You can see some real life flamingos and they have a gondola ride through the property. You do not have to be staying there to enjoy. There are some great patios to have a drink in and enjoy the view. Also a good place to stay on another trip. Have fun!!!
Good Afternoon Ladies. So, we are finally on vacation as roomie's conference is done and we have the next few days to play and explore the area. We have a rental car reserved tomorrow, so today is just a bit of staying around the resort. We played a bit of tennis--just hitting the ball around this morning--and it only lasted about 40 minutes as it was 104 at 10:00! We just had lunch and are sitting outside in the shade--and there is a bit of a breeze so it does not feel all of 109!!!!! ;) We are headed to downtown Palm Springs tonight for VillageFest., It is held every Thursday night and there are vendors with arts, crafts, food and entertainment. We will take the bus down and back. Tomorrow we may head to Joshua Tree National Park--that is about an hour or so away. There is also a town called Pioneertown that is on the way-- the town was built in the 40's as n Olds West set by Roy Rogers and others as a place for the actors to live while shooting films. Sounds like a cool place to stop. We also have tickets for the aerial tram and will do that tomorrow or Saturday night as they say it is a great view to come down on one of the last trams of the evening.
