Today is snowing in Ohio. So of course it's a perfect day to spend some time in the craft room. So far today I've made 3.....so this is #41, 42 and 43.

I can't get motivated today.... Probably because I need to go make 2 sympathy cards and those are hard to do because of knowing the people too well. I did manage to create a brick wall using my scor pal buddy and hopefully will be able to complete the card idea that it goes too......
Bright and sunny here....DH went fishing---I really need to accomplish something.

i managed to finish 7 cards in the past few days and am in the process of getting the pictures uploaded to my blog. but of course, my blog is being a pain!! hoping to get to it tonight... we are headed to chinatown to pick up some stuff for chinese new years!!
Here are cards 35 and 36 both using SC133.
The purple and green one is a birthday card for our oldest daughter who turns 40 this month and is trying to pretend it didn't happen.
The red and pink valentines card is for my SIL who lives in assisted living and has mild dementia so I gussied it up a bit for her.

those are beautiful Zella......I am particularly drawn to the first two but all of them are great layouts and awesome colors......

OK, so card sketch 134 had me going for a bit...I didn't know what a tent topper card was supposed to be....Went to the tutorials on SCS and wow! what a fun and easy card to do....
Cards 37 and 38 are both SC134.......
I have to say, last night when I was assigning images to SC's I had no idea it would speed things up but boy did it...

ugh i'm so frustrated with my computer. my laptop is really old and dying!!! my internet browser keeps "unexpectedly" closing when i'm trying to insert pictures into my blog post. i promise i didn't disappear and i am almost caught up but i just can't blog about it!! lol. DH has about an hour free so i'm having him look at it.

Zella, thank you! I'm sorry to say, by virtue of the type of swap it is, it never opens to new members, it just dwindles in size if/when someone leaves. We mail the next set of images with the current set of cards, so there's no way to add members. However, if a new group ever opens, I'll keep you in mind, okay! It has been so much fun. We've been doing that particular group for over two years now and are in our second round of hostesses. We started with about 30 members and are now down to 17, which really is a more manageable size for the hostess, since she has to send the stamped images for every participant. ;)

i had to call our cable company to come and replace our router box thing for our internet because it constantly kicks the entire house off the internet. between that and my blog, i'm super irritated with all these technical problems i've been having :(
thanks arlene!! i keep telling myself i'm not a stamper but i think my collection says otherwise. haha. i miss doing image swaps... so many new and cute images without having to spend a fortune on stamps.
zella - i love that fat cat card!!! all of your cards really, but that fat cat one is adorable!! i'm sorry it had to be for such a sad occasion though.
pansy - you are doing so well with all the sketches and your cards are beautiful!!
jeanette - keep me in mind too if you guys ever make room in that swap or start up a new one!!
i'm stuck in this "no scraps" mode where i try to make use of every single bit of DP when making my cards, whether it be from 6x6's from kits of 12x12's i pull from my stash. so i end up making a TON of cards that all kinda look alike. on one hand i'm happy because i'm making so many cards and getting so much done, but i'm also kinda getting bored of having to finish so many of the same kinda card. lol. i might go back to the scrap pile only for DP and choose smaller pieces of paper to use. haha.
got #17-19 up... i decided to amend my rule of 'every card has to be different' to 'every card has to be kinda different' for this challenge, otherwise i'd never finish!! - Christmas Card Catch-up – Scraps & photoGRAFFS

How in the world do you even manage 17 - I'm mega impressed Jeanette! I could start one - care to elaborate on what the deets are - I might just have to put a group together.

thanks....when I took this wild hair to start an exercise program, I knew I couldn't do it all by myself...so I paid for a year upfront at Curves....smart me though, I did it when they were having a 30 days free thingy so I actually get 13 months.....
So far I haven't skipped any days---have missed two...one for apulled something or the other,,,,and one for caring for sickly grandson last Friday.
I go 5 days a week and take the weekends off....
today was "measure up" day...and I am so excited....didn't lose any pounds but dropped 6 inches which means the flab is turning into muscle so that is good.
Anyway......you didn't really need all that but I am excited to have made it 4 and a half months......

Kel, will definitely keep you in mind if a new Mystery Image swap is started.
Oh, Zella, I think I must have typed something wrong. I'm not in 17 of these groups - there are 17 people in the one group. That means the hostess (the Pizza one was me) has to stamp enough images for all 17 swappers X 6.... it's a 3 + 1 swap but we send a couple of extra images to each person in case of mishaps or if they just want to make a card or two to keep.
It actually started out of one of my forest swaps. Anyone in that swap that wanted to was invited to join the group and I stamped 6 images for each of the participants of that first round (I think there were about 35 of us - so a lot of stamping). I mailed the images to them with their Forest Swap return. That's how we handled the postage on the first set of images. Then, each round the next hostess sends her stamped images for everyone to the current hostess, who then sends a set of 6 to each person in the group who has indicated she wants to go on into the next round. And we keep doing that. It's a 2-month swap, which means we have a new hostess and set of images every other month.
Soooooooo... to make this easier to understand. Carol is the hostess of our next round, so when she mailed me her 3+1 set of Pizza cards, she also mailed me 16 packets of her stamped image (it's a surprise - we can't tell what it is - group RULE!). When I swapped the Pizza cards and prepared the packages to mail back to the swappers, I put one of Carol's sets of images in each envelope, except hers, of course. She doesn't need a set. Melina is our next hostess, so she will stamp a set of images for each of us and when she mails her cards to Carol, she'll include those images so Carol can send them on to us.
We started the original swap in August of 2010 and we have hostess in place through January 2015. LOL!

Sure---I know this....I can now stay up and read for an hour or so after DH goes to bed, and still get up in the morning with energy.
I also am enjoying "good willing" some clothes that are too baggy saggy now.....Yea......and I HAD to buy some new exercise pants and they were a whole size smaller than what I had been wearing.........so that keeps me pumped....plus my my unreplaced knee feels better although I can tell I will be having it done in the next year or two.....It sounds like crinkling florists wrap when I walk down stairs like a big girl ( ie one foot on a riser only.) not two feet like small children and old ladies have to do it.......

Nope.....I hate to clothes shop....for anyone...even my kids when they were little....I have to practically be "nikked" before I go shopping for clothes....and DH is the same way. No wonder 3 of our 4 kids spend almost all of their disposable income on clothes...they were so deprived when young.
Though buying them in smaller sizes might make it a bit more fun.
