Hi, Shirley, here to start the Favorites thread this week. There were lots of beautiful cards in the gallery this week. I am always amazed at the wonderful creations. This week we have had a real treat of getting see all of the Dare To Get Dirty cards.
About this thread: The current week's FAVORITES thread is a way to give recognition to some of the standout creations shared in our SCS Gallery. This is the place to link all the fabulous favorites you discovered in the SCS Gallery last week, Sunday, August 5th through Saturday, August 11th. Everyone is welcome to join in -- check my next post for directions.
Our dedicated team members will be making the notifications:
Carlene (Chatterbox-1), Carla (Covington Crafter), Nancy (nwilliams6), Kia (kiagc), Janine (Jay_Bee) Shirley (wannabcre8tive), Angie (ohmypaper!) I have not had a lot of SCS Screen time this week. I am listing the favorites that I happened to see and I will be back later with more favorites. Happy Floral by DancesWithHooves - at Splitcoaststampers
You don't have to wait until you have a card in the Favorites threads. The more participation we have, the more fun and interesting this thread will be. You also DO NOT have to wait for a notice to post a thank you. Please help the Favorites Teams by making sure:
That the LINKS in your Favorites List work correctly.
WE ARE UNABLE TO NOTIFY LINKS THAT DO NOT WORK.
IMPORTANT NOTE: MS Word and other office software have format programming that conflicts with SCS programming. Either copy and paste the code directly into the SCS site orprepare your post in Wordpad, TextEdit or Notepad then copy and paste into SCS.
The card makersSCS NAME is shown, it really helps if their name is in color.
It really, really, helps if you have a BLANK LINE between each entry.
And please DO NOT use the Quote button to the side of the post when you post a thank you!!Replying with the Quote button causes the original message to be repeated. That can confuse the team, and we may notify people twice.
Did you find your way to this thread because someone listed one of YOUR creations as a favorite? In addition to saying thank you, we encourage you to pay that smile you're probably wearing right now forward by sharing a few of the cards/projects YOU listed in your favorites for this week. Need help posting your favorites list or thank you? Click the below links for posting tips.
I am going to break my lists down because I know sometimes the system cannot handle so many cards at once. What an amazing week we have had here at SCS! I had trouble narrowing my faves down as you can see. Notification team feel free to tell me if you want me to notify my list(s)!!!
Wow - DTGD sure gave rise to some fabulous cards - both inspiration from the DD and alumni and from all the fan club members. My rather long-by-my-standards list seems to be entirely from the challenges - but then, that's where I spent most of my gallery time this week apart from gallery modding.
Well done to everyone, whether you just made just one or two cards or ran the whole marathon.
Thank you, as always, to everyone who makes the time to share their own favourites here. I always love the chance to see cards I wouldn't otherwise come across.
Thank you Shirley for getting us started. The gallery is fabulous this week, with the addition of all those DTGD creations. It's a good thing the Favorites team has been taking their vitamins! We're going to be busy notifying this weekend.
Here's my list, it's extra long and I still missed so many cards!!
Sorry to anyone who has not been playing along with DTGD but I have spent my week in that gallery and hence my long list of favourites which I will post in sections. So many beautiful cards - I had to cut some out
Part 3 (Final unless I discover any more later when commenting!)
I apologise if I have listed any from last week again - with the early posting of samples it all gets a bit complicated but DTGD has been fun and you still have until Wednesday to get done.
Hello dear friends,
I was very busy with the DTGD challenges and now I've got my daughter Son in law and Granddaughter for a week, when I saw my list with favorites I almost fell of my chair...It's impossible to show them all here so I'm sorry but need to reduce even if you stay a favorite in my heart!!
Mahalo Fairy Much Sis Carla for mentioning my mermaid and turtle card. I’m gratefully humbled , honored and greatfully appreciative.
Mahalo Fairy Much Sis for also the Happy mail notification.
Thank you Shirley for starting the thread. Thank you to all the wonderful notifiers for taking the time to notify. We appreciate you volunteering your time.
Thank you Carolyn, Angie, Carla, Sue x2 and Janine x2 for adding my cards to your favorites. I am so honored and humbled to be on your incredible lists. You have really brought a smile to me this Sunday morning.
Some awesome cards in the gallery and I filled up my faves list so I apologize in advance for the long lists. DTGD has been awesome!!!! Thanks to all the people who put in tons of time making cards and comments. Also thanks to all the faves team for all the notifying you will be doing!!!!

Good morning all!!! I hope that everyone has had a very blessed and enjoyable week! Here, we've had some really hot and humid days, but I am definitely not complaining. I love sitting out on my balcony to watch the waves or to watch a video YouTube or to read a good book as my relaxation. I'm still recovering from some dental surgery, so I'm not moving too quickly but I'm grateful to see improvement in the last couple of days. I have more of this surgery to come and feel blessed to have a very good surgeon. Where has the time gone, it seems like I blinked in June and here we are almost the middle of August!
I didn't get nearly as much time on here at SCS as I would have liked, but I certainly had no problem finding lots of great cards that touched my heart and absolutely blew me away with unbelievable artistry. WOW, there are so many great artists here on SCS! I learn so much from you and I thank you for teaching me and for encouraging me, and I hope I give back even a portion of all that I receive here on SCS. I feel so grateful to have been introduced to SCS via a new friend, someone who is now a great and trusted friend.
Here are some cards that really made me sit up and take notice, I know I missed tons of great ones, but I will be looking at as many of your lists as I can to see the cards that touched your heart and totally wowed you. I will probably have to split this up into two parts at least. Thank you so much to Shirley (Wannabcre8tive) and her fantastic team who bring us some of the happiest news of our week creatively--how I appreciate all of your work so that so many artists can be thrilled and uplifted and encouraged, to me, this is pretty amazing and important work, and I thank each of you who are involved in sending out these great messages that bring joy!!! Finally figured out how to change the color of the names, yay!!!
Here goes, my list of cards that made me sit up and take notice, cards that are unbelievably wonderful, part one--
I am determined to do this each week, it's an important way of thanking so many artists who bring me so much joy with their great artistry, and to thank each of you for all that you teach me when I take a closer look at your wonderful works of art.
Thanks again,
Joanne

This one was supposed to be in my list but somehow was deleted when I transferred from notepad. I could post it to the CAS list but I hate for Karen to notify her own.
Kia, would you mind notifying her? Thank you so much!!!
I'm sure that I've missed tons of fantastic cards, so I'm going to check out the cards on other members' favorites lists--I cannot wait to see what you have chosen as your favorites. Just think of the joy you are bringing to each person on your list this week!!! Thank you again to Shirley (wannabcre8tive) and to her team of good news notifiers, I know it's a lot of work, but when you are bringing happy news to fellow members, know how much we all appreciate it. Finally, I figured out how to change the color of the artist's name, yay, sorry that it took so long!!!
Have a fantastic and blessed Lord's Day, and have a wonderful week. I feel very blessed to be a member of this special group that is filled with so many kind, encouraging artists who are so open to sharing their techniques and secrets with those of us who are much less experienced. I am very grateful!
A very special thanks to Sabrina and Anita for including my one and only DTGD card on your list. I had hoped to have more play time and view more cards from this fabulous week of challenges. It will be fun to visit all the gallery challenges on much needed down time.
Thanks Kia for the notifications.
Here are just a few of mine.
Kia, thanks so much for the mail. Carla, so glad you added Deer in the Trees to your favorites, and Snietje, for adding Chicks Rule. Doing the happy dance today!
