This is a pretty good list. I will have to copy you to make sure I am prepared as well. Thanks for all the suggestions.

Reink pads.
Clean off work top
figure out a system for which stamps/topics to do (sorry--I taught school for 41 years and need a "lesson plan" if I plan to accomplish anything
precut some bases from those sheets of retired CS that I never have enough of to make a set of swap cards
new battery for the digital craft camera
and study the card sketches so I can match stamp sets to layout]

OK,,,,I'm ready.

definitely a good list! i'm a list maker too!!!

previous to starting this:
1) finish cleaning out the craft room
2) finish rearranging the craft room
3) cut down card bases
4) label card bases by color

once we start:
1) work with the card kits i have from my swapping days
2) pull from the sketches i have printed out and those here on scs
3) ink up some stamps that have never seen ink lol

my goals:
- work through my stash
- build up my card collection
- reactivate my blog
- practice my coloring

are we starting a new thread or continuing with this one? and if people are blogging their cards i'd love to visit, and would love if you would visit me too!!

I'm about 100 cards behind - I swear each year to send out "New Year" cards instead. January 1 will be a great start.

And those two items I will add to my list....My goal is to make at least 1 card with each SET of stamps I have(some sets are loose themes - like boats, dogs, you know) but I am also figuring out a system to keep track of what I have used and if I used it and didn't like it, immediately it goes into the SALE sack/box....if I used it and liked it I will turn it o n the shelf so the label doesn't show...then I will know I have tried it.
I will have to make myself not go to my "go to" stamps also....Will use the others of find them new homes...LOL!

You ladies have really given me some great ideas. I have tons of card kits from swaps that are just sitting in a box doing nothing and I have hundreds of stamps that have never seen any ink, and about 50 cricut cartridges that have never even made it out of the box. It is kind of disgraceful. I really want to make the effort to use the stuff that I have had forever and get it gone and donate it. I did pick out themes that I want to stick to:

Thinking of you cards from parents to children
Love cards - General all year themes
Thank yous
Thinking of you
Missing you
Birthday
Christmas

That should keep me on track to get 100 done in 100 days, hopefully.

Sounds like a plan!!!!
I'm planning to make lots of missing you and thinking of you cards to send to OWH and will use a variety of stamps and color schemes so they work for all year round.
Then I am going to go crazy making "Western" themed cards using my stamps andpapers I seem to have been collecting.....even my cowboy snowman set from High Hopes......
Also want to make some kid cards.....using dinosaur stamps and monsters and punch art animals.
We will see if I accomplish all that.
100 cards in 100 days....surely I can do that.....and still go to exercise class???????a

Don't forget "Congrats" for new baby or new home or any new situation like weddings, graduations, and retirement. And hopefully you won't need any sympathy cards (although the Thinking Of You theme could work as well), but I think it's good to have some made ahead of time because it's hard to make one when grief is clouding the mind. :(

All of your plans sound great! I think I'm going to join y'all on Jan 1st also. I don't have a blog, but I can upload to my SCS gallery.

HAHAHAHA that is too funny. I was thinking the same thing. and i love your idea of actually deciding whether or not i like the set and turning it around to know that it's been used.

i never really thought of themes... i figured i'd just use whatever i have to make whatever cards they make lol. but i think that's a really good idea. i'm going to have to do that once i finish getting my christmas cards done. we usually send out about 125-ish cards every year but i lost my address book and have to reassemble my list. yay... super excited now that people are doing this too.

I always forget about having sympathy cards, but I should have some. I will have to make a few so I don't have to buy one, Heaven forbid.

No blog here either, but I enjoyed the challenge last time and looking forward to it again. I like the idea of themes I didn't do that last time but will do some of that this time. Great idea.

Talking 2013 -- 100 Day

I'm in again! I had a GREAT time last round!

I just did a major purge/organize and my Stamp/Scrap/Office is coming together to be much more efficient and enjoyable. I don't feel so claustrophobic from all the stuff I wasn't using collecting dust.

After I donated the first boxes, it felt good so I did a 2nd wave. One more time and I think I'll be more comfortable. I'm sincerely hoping this will help me use what I have more productively.

Should we start a NEW Thread so we can update the Blog (or Gallery) List? It might be easier ....

i think a new thread is a great idea. and it doesn't have to be a blog-roll... it can just be a link to wherever you post your cards... so either to your blog or directly to your gallery.

lela - i am also with you on the cleaning and purging. i am seriously trying to pare down what i have so that i don't feel so overwhelmed by product that i HAVE to use. trying really hard to use what i have and not buy much of anything but not burdened by needing to use everything that i already bought. when i purge, my kids get to go through some of it, and the rest is sent to their school or to the seniors center my nana goes to.

in hawaii we have a huge thing (japanese/asian tradition i think?) about new years, where everyone does a huge clean and purge of their home and cars and yard... it's like spring cleaning but done for new year's. basically, how you start the year dictates how you spend the year so you want to make sure your house is in perfect order. i have 5 more days to clean!!! haha. i'll be off and on the computer until then... but i will definitely check back before the 1st to see if there's a new thread and join in. ttyl and (belated) merry christmas!!!

Kelly what a great tradition and good idea! I do want to get to my "clothes closets" sometime this week as well. It would be a good way to start the new year.

Don't know if any of you would be interested in using something like this but I created a form to use for recording information about the cards I make...Our computer room is upstairs and my craft room is downstairs and I would rather bring the camera memory chip upstairs along with a form instead of bringing the card and trying to remember the exact names of what I used. If you want it, just use it.

well well well...looks like Pansy reeled me in too!!;o) I need to find my Mojio and absolutly want to use some of my UNINKED (aka NEVER used!) stamps....I have quite a collection but NEED to stop buying and start using the loads of supplies I already have....Still have lots of SU card stock supply (have not bought a single pack for about a year and half now!!) and lots of my white c/s too (this one is NOT SU! as I think their white c/s is too flimsy for my liking...)....Looking forward to this new year and to get inspirations from all of ya ladies!....BTW I do have a blog but at the moment is sitting unused...won't accept me uploading more picts! *sigh* (and I am very TERRIBLE at technology!!) Haven't used my SCS Gallery in a long time either, but it looks like I am about to restart using it again...♥
Another possibility is to actually upload pict of what we create right here in the thread too...
Anyways..food for thought...♥ Until next time...G'Night and sweet dreams!

Pansy is VERY convincing! I've been lurking in this thread for quite some time - thanks to Pansy!

Unfortunately, due to many DT responsibilities, I decided there wasn't any way I could juggle this and those commitments, too. :( But be assured, I'll continue to lurk and can't wait to see what all of you create!!!

LOL! Pansy got me here too! Working on cleaning and purging in my craft room while I am off work between Christmas and New Years so I can find and then be able to USE the things I know I have. I joined the Stamp 2 Spend Challenge a couple of years ago. This challenge combined with that one will get me going using and not buying.

Sama, you made me feel so much better. I also haven't bought paper in a year and a half despite creating on a regular basis. I also have to admit I think about a quarter of my collection is unlinked. (Blush) I remember reading about people with uninked stamps when I started stamping and thinking that was crazy!

All right......more the merrier......I have spent today in my craft room going to folders of ideas clipped from here and there and so forth...some of them have datelines of 2008....so I discarded about half a 30 gallon trash can full......and sorted them into Card Techniques, Card Ideas, QuiltedCards, Christmas cards and projects and then made labels for each envelope (those clear string tie jobs) and added Valentines, Easter, Patriotic/July 4th, Autumn, Books, Boxes and Bags, Big Shot special uses of dies, and still have a few small piles with out names or homes in an envelope yet. But I feel much better about it.
Planning to color again tonight,,,did 18 images last night----I am so ready to go starting tomorrow morning.

I hope we're continuing with this thread so I don't miss anything, but if another thread is started, will someone please post here about it?

I hope everyone will update their signatures also with either their blog or gallery link (or to promote this challenge to even more people! Go, Pansy!!). I'll have some time tomorrow to look at all the eye candy. I like seeing the pics right away in posts too, but I don't know how to do that myself. :(

Besides bloghopping tomorrow, I want to make 3 cards for a dry embossing group, 2 cards for an Oriental stamping group, and an AB double-pg spread tip-in for another group.

Wow, looks like everyone has a plan and is ready to go! And the crowd goes wild!! *\o/* cheering!! Hooray!

good for you pansy!! i am still on the cleaning & rearranging part of my pre-challenge list. i have a handful of bases cut and labeled, but there are more that i will need to get to as i get to them. lol. while cleaning i found my sketch binder and will have to update the newest scs card sketches.

i will be updating my signature with my blog & gallery link since that's where those cards will go. i think i'll probably join the fan club too since that'll make uploading to my gallery a lot easier. haha.

time to get back to the cleaning! i'll see you all tomorrow and happy new year!!!

This is quite a challenge!

Thanks Pansy for the inspiration and others for letting me know that there are a number of us who have stamps that have never been used or card stock that hasn't been cut. I have been cleaning my craft room over the last 2 days (after cleaning, organizing and organizing time and time again) and am starting to see progress but I think I have to purge some of my artistic tools. There is just too much of everything. You would think that I was a consultant or on design teams. LOL!

I am up for the challenge 100 cards in 100 days. Boy will I need to get and stay organized. This is perfect to build up my card stash though, so, I am in. Oh, I can't forget to post the pics and update my blog. Wow! Lot's to do. I should have started last year.

Good luck fellow stampers and I wish you happy stamping!

Happy New Year too!

Also...when we make same type of cards for swaps ALL cards DO count, right??
For example if we make six of same snowmen's themed cards those SHOULD count....am I correct in thinking so?? (I hope!!)
...and lastly: can we start a brand new thead??....that would be nice...♥

Paola,

I'm in North Van so about an hour or more from you. I've participated in one of your masculine card swaps. I'd do another if you're hosting.

I just laughed at your cracker comment. I do the opposite. I save my used wrapping paper to make next year's crackers.

Christine

Do I love to repurpose? Well, let's see here....does using a box that came from a Bath & Body Works gift as a background count? LOL!! It was sparkly pink so I cut it down and used it for a card....LOL!!!
