After I got over the "I think she is totally nuts." thought, I decided this is a really good idea. I have so much stuff that I need to use up that I think I will give this a try. I know I have stamp sets that have never seen ink. I will probably use the 10X10 grid that someone mentioned to track. I don't know if I can abide by the not buying anything new rule for that long or not. That may be the deal breaker for me. I will be interest to see everyones progress.
Ok, this challenge gave me the push I needed to get my blog going! I will be posting my challenge cards on my blog, as well as here on SCS. I think someone mentioned a keyword for the gallery, 100in100.

I would like to try this challenge too! I just bought a small house, so I need to use up my stash and organize as well. :o
For inspiration, I also recommend the card sketches/gallery here on SCS and using Becky Fleck's Card Maps. In the past, I've also looked at 365cards.blogspot.com, and because I love Oriental Stamp Art, I check out osadesignchallenges.wordpress.com. Hope that helps someone else too.
I added a sidebar on my blog with links to people's blogs who are doing this challenge. If you are doing the challenge, and have a blog, and want to be listed - drop me a note with your blog address and first name.
I think this is a great idea. I had to make almost 100 thank you cards to send out and it was a real eye opener for me. I was able to make all the cards from what I had on hand in my craft room. I used up maybe three packs of card stock. I'm sure I'd have to make 100,000 cards to use up all of my crafty goodies! Better get started!
Wow. Great idea!! I'm in!! My craft budget is almost non-existant for the next few months and this will keep me encouraged to use what I have. I am making a couple of exceptions for myself, though.
1. I can buy adhesive, white cardstock and kraft cardstock if I run out.
2. If I win a gift certificate at a release party I can use it.
My birthday is at the end of August, so I'm going to try to be done by then and I'll ask for some $$ for some new stamps.

This... in fact I need to use more dsp in my cards. I clearly don't use nearly enough as I've done 7 cards now and used about a quarter of a sheet, if that.

Sorry, forgot to reply with my name, it is Francesca. Also, I would like to put the 100 in 100 days badge, I think that is what they are called, on my blog. Mindy can you help me with that? My blog is brand new, like yesterday, so I am still learning. Thanks!

I'm going to try to join you...with modifications. First of all, I enjoy shopping way too much to not buy something in the next 100 days. It ain't going to happen.
However, I DO have too much stuff. So, I'm adding my own "12 step program". Every 12 cards, I'm going to focus on a new addiction...for example, paper, ribbon, uninked stamps, etc. That way, I can focus on parts of my collection that really, really need to be pared down.
Finally, I have a young baby, so I'm not sure I can do 100 in 100, but I'm going to do 100....September 8th, I'll try to celebrate what I DID get done...how many, longest consecutive daily posting run, etc.
So, I need to plan out my first few days and get started on these so that I can start with you June 1. I've already drafted my first post, so I need to get my card making butt in gear.
I have long weekend so I'm starting my 100 today, Friday, May 25, 2012 until Saturday, September 1, 2012.
My first project is an accordion fold hanging counter. It is four inches by 30 inch with a counter. The numbers tear off for the card count and Ill cross off dates on the calendar as I go.

I'm off to make up my 10x10 chart! If I stamp on it does it count as a project?? ;)

Wow! You have such beautiful cards on your blog. Do you sell them? I love the little piece of material for the baby elephant blanket, what a great idea.
And what a difference the sewing makes. I think I'll sew on all my cards from now on.

What a sweet comment! I have thought about selling them, but really haven't known quite how to go about it. Maybe I'll think about opening an Etsy store for some of these 100 cards.
I do love sewing on my cards. It seems to finish them somehow, but they are still mailable, which is important to me.
Am I right in thinking that we are planning to make the 100 cards within the 100 days, even if we make more than one card some days and no cards on others?
Are we going to try to blog them daily, or does it matter if there are some lumped together?
Is there a list of the blogs participating here in the thread, so I could copy the links?
Thanks! My dd is coming home from college today and will only be here for a week, so I'll be stamping some today, but then probably not again until next weekend after we take her back, so I'll start my 100 days on June 1st, too.

All good questions. I am trying to do 100 in 100 days, but not necessarily 1-a-day. I will likely do them in batches of 3-4 at a time. My blog lets me set up postings in advance so I may try to create several blog posts, then have them set to run one at a time each day.
My blog has a list of folks who said they were going to participate. Several folks are participating but have no blog - they will update this thread with their gallery posts to show off their work.
I am going to try to get 100 cards done in 100 days, at the moment I am way ahead but I am sure there will be times I get behind. And if I do more, then great! I am also not buying anything until the one hundred days are up. Which will be TRICKY.

I was inspired by the Operation Write Home Memorial Day blog hop today. In case you dont know about them, they collect handmade cards to give to service persons to write home and cards with notes of encouragement for service persons Any Hero Mail. These cards are for Any Hero Mail that my family will completed this weekend. Operation Write Home
I used a card layout from The Color Room card sketch CRC#73. I like all the layers they including in their sketches. The Color Room card sketch CRC#73

I've gotten 3 done so far and uploaded which is something I rarely do...thanks for the challenge. Finishing up my 4th project - birthday card for my mother - my first shutter card a challenge for me to be sure. Hopefully uploaded tomorrow
I was on a mad tear today and finished 11 cards! The first one was for today's inspiration challenge and the next 10 were done with scraps, out takes and unfinished stuff that has been cluttering my desk. I used the key word "100in100". I hope to get them posted to my blog tomorrow!

I wanted to do some stamping this weekend, but it's not going to happen :(
Today was spent sewing my husband's outfit for next weekend's roman war re-enactment. Let's just say I am no seamstress. His mother is a sewing goddess and I can barely sew straight lines. Anyway, he picked up a pattern for a renassaince shirt that had long, triangular sleeves with gathered shoulders and shoulder seams, and a fancy neckline that damn near impossible to sew. Then he wanted pants and spats to go with it. 8 hours later they are done - not beautiful or perfect - but done. That brings my costume total to 4 people with 10 pieces in all, and I am not making anymore before this event!
Now I can get to the rest of the things I needed to do this weekend. Perhaps I will be able squeeze in just 1 little card on Monday...perhaps...
I just found this thread. I am sorry I have not had time to read it all - but did any one mention the SCS cards for a cause? It is listed under the Challenge forum. Cindy (mothermark) lists a monthly cause to receive our cards. I am pretty sure that you could even go to previous months and send to some of the older ones.
I have been sort of doing this challenge for a while - though I do cheat and have made some purchases. Most of my cards are on my blog, a few in my SCS gallery. I am doing the blog only to have one for my challenge cards - and I have at least one a day since I started, though this week will put me behind!
I have no blog, no time, a MIA mojo, and WAAAAY too much stuff!! But I am going to lurk and get inspired by all the hard work over here! I think I will be happy if I get 10 things done in 100 days, lol!
My next post is for a group of 6 like cards that are part of an 18 card series for Operation Write Home (OWH). I really like doing a series of the same card because I can perfect the design. I based the design on OWH sketch #74.
I was inspired by the Club Scrap Assembly Line Card Making (ALCM) from the OWH Memorial Day Blog Hop. ALCM is a method for making many cards by efficiently using your papers. The ALCM cards they posted were based on 8 x 11 paper and I want to use 12 x 12 papers, so I made my own ALCM. Ill post the ALCM when Ive finished all 18 cards.
My Design Details:
Designer Paper, Wildflower stencil, and Ribbon from Club Scrap;
Based Card Stock is 8 by 11 Neenah Dessert Storm; Sponging, painting and distressing inks are Ranger Distress Inks (DI) and Distress Stains (DS); Watercolor paper; Stampin Ups Simply Soft stamp; Versafine Sepia ink; Rangers ultrafine clear embossing power; and Tonics Paper Distresser.

A couple of years ago I decided to use up some of my stash and made a whole bunch of cards for my m-i-l as a gift. It was so liberating, no definite plans just grab a stamp or a pre-made topper and go for it. She was delighted and I was happy:p I then did the same for my eldest sister but she is having trouble using them - wants to keep them to herself, so sweet. I blogged about them here: 45 Cards for a Sister | Crafty Jo's blog of craft techniques and here:M-I-L Christmas Collection | Crafty Jo's blog of craft techniques
We also did a challenge at our stamp club to make a card depicting every letter of the alphabet - that was fun and varied but took a lot more thought.

Good luck with this task you've set yourself.
You need to make her two of each card so she will have one to use and one to keep ;) I've had friends tell me that, too.
OK, I am going to try to join you all with little bit of a twist. I am going to TRY to make the 100 cards with stamp sets and individual stamps that I have gone uninked or can't remember the last time I used the stamp (which can mean I've never used it . I started yesterday by making a 25th anniversary card. I used a flower set I've had for a few months.
