Beate Johns answers your technique questions
Q: Kathy asked: "My favorite cards are ones that have 3 or more patterned papers on them. I feel like when I do it, it looks crazy. I see others, they look terrific. Do you have a secret or a "rule of thumb" on how to match or coordinate more than 3 patterned papers?"
A: When I use more than one piece of patterned paper, I usually stay with the same paper package or grouping. That way, I know the colors and pattern will match perfectly. I only use one of the bigger patterned papers such as floral or stripes. The other paper patterns I use are tiny, almost solid looking. That way my card doesn't get too busy.

Karen has a suggestion for the Swing Card tutorial: "I tried a variation of the swing card by cutting the whole middle part out and then adding a piece of invisible nylon thread in the middle with tape and sandwiching it between two pieces of cardstock or two felt flurry snowflakes so that when it opens, it spins! You can see a sample here."
