This sure is a wonderful, global Teaparty!! Jacqueline in the USA is hosting this weeks Teaparty on behalf of Anita, aka Snietje from France, for her mum Annie who lives in The Netherlands and this card was made by me, who lives in Australia. How cool is that!
Denk aan je Annie translates to 'Thinking of you Annie". Actually I was thinking of Snietje while I was making this, the pressure was really on. Imagine how many wonderful cards Annie has received over the years.
Fashion and a touch of textile are two elements of this weeks challenge. I stamped this Julie Nutting doll onto a piece of watercoulour paper from my stash in order to make the dress and shoes. It's just el cheapo watercolour paper dunked in a puddle of Dylusions ink spray and water.
I also stamped the doll on cardstock, coloured her with pencils and Copics, then fussy cut the dress and shoes from the watercolour piece and stuck them on top of the body. After I had adhered her to the background, I decided to add the lace. If there is a difficult order of doing something, I will find it!!
The background was made with Distress Oxides. Santa decided I needed a set of 12 Distress Oxides all the way from America via Amazon, gosh I love Santa! I did a bit of stenciling, sponging and stamping with the inks.
Thank you for looking. I hope you have a happy, inky week.

This is fantastic Susie! Your writeup has me giggling my friend. Adding the lace on the bottom of this gorgeous watercolored dress is such an amazing detail, and was worth the extra effort to do it. So is her pearl necklace. And this bg - oh my! I do not even know where to start, but it sure is gorgeous and highlights this fabulous gal perfectly. Annie is going to adore this wonderful card from you Susie. I better get going on my card now... ~Karen.

Gloriously Glorious!!!!! Very Impressive! For lack of any imagination at this time of night I will call her Glory. Glory exudes charm, poise and Class. I look at your Scrumptious background and picture your hands and arms flailing helter skelter in a flurry of activity. All the little splotches and dots and geometrics and lines lovingly, and with ink flying everywhere, being applied with a glow of happiness surrounding you. Well done, Ms. S. !!! And such a Beautiful concoction of colors.....WOW! Aren't those oxide inks Amazing? So versatile. And your touch of lace is Genius. I see you have achieved a good relationship with Santa. Work it.

Absolutely très chic, Susie! Of course you had to add that beautiful lace and I know you were up to the challenge to do it the difficult way...don't we always do that to ourselves if we can! Her garment just wouldn't be the same without it...superlative fussy-cutting! Your multiple mixed medias are always so fabulous and create unrepeatable works of art! I could gaze at this forever!

Susie, EVERYTHING about this is fabulous! Her hair, the bg, the lace, the fun patterns on the dress, your description of your thought process, your foreign language skills, and your heart which shows through this. Wonderful card. Wow.

Well, this is definitely a fashionable lady! This is a beautiful card from top to bottom. I love the skirt and that you added the lace. I smiled when you said you put it on after you put her on the card. I do things like that all the time. LOL

Again - just another wonderful creation - with so much going on. Each time I look at it I find something more to ponder and wonder if I will ever be as creative as this. Love all the rich colours in the dress - going back for another look at that. I have decided that Santa Amazon is going to have to bring me some Oxide Inks too! I am going to book in with you for a lesson on how to use them. Yes - I do have an apron - looks like fun and messy inky fingers.
