This sure is a wonderful, global Teaparty!! Jacqueline in the USA is hosting this weeks Teaparty on behalf of Anita, aka Snietje from France, for her mum Annie who lives in The Netherlands and this card was made by me, who lives in Australia. How cool is that!
Denk aan je Annie translates to 'Thinking of you Annie". Actually I was thinking of Snietje while I was making this, the pressure was really on. Imagine how many wonderful cards Annie has received over the years.
Fashion and a touch of textile are two elements of this weeks challenge. I stamped this Julie Nutting doll onto a piece of watercoulour paper from my stash in order to make the dress and shoes. It's just el cheapo watercolour paper dunked in a puddle of Dylusions ink spray and water.
I also stamped the doll on cardstock, coloured her with pencils and Copics, then fussy cut the dress and shoes from the watercolour piece and stuck them on top of the body. After I had adhered her to the background, I decided to add the lace. If there is a difficult order of doing something, I will find it!!
The background was made with Distress Oxides. Santa decided I needed a set of 12 Distress Oxides all the way from America via Amazon, gosh I love Santa! I did a bit of stenciling, sponging and stamping with the inks.
Thank you for looking. I hope you have a happy, inky week.

OK, first of all...55 comments on this one?? Holy shitballs! Your cards Susie are like little works of art. There is so much to look at and absorb...you have a knack of mixing colors, techniques, patterns and images to create your own style. This card is a perfect example of that. Annie is going to flip when she gets this. I love your work and hope you never lose your sense of humor. Love ya girlfriend :-)
By the way - I also enjoy your write-ups. Amazing that we covered four countries with just one challenge, huh?

Oh, sis! To the moon and back! This is GORGEOUS, and I absolutely love every millimeter of it! Of course, I LOVE reading your description ("story" really) of how you've created this amazing piece. I know that Anita's Aunt Annie will adore it! Oh, sis, you delight us all and tickle us to no end. The colors are so warm (like you are), and the design is so sweet and fashionable. And woohoo for you about getting some Oxides all the way from the US of A! What fun that this is truly such an international card, and I love seeing it (and you) in the gallery. You are a SCS Treasure! Love you to bits, sweet sis! I am so blessed by you! xoxo
