This sure is a wonderful, global Teaparty!! Jacqueline in the USA is hosting this weeks Teaparty on behalf of Anita, aka Snietje from France, for her mum Annie who lives in The Netherlands and this card was made by me, who lives in Australia. How cool is that!
Denk aan je Annie translates to 'Thinking of you Annie". Actually I was thinking of Snietje while I was making this, the pressure was really on. Imagine how many wonderful cards Annie has received over the years.
Fashion and a touch of textile are two elements of this weeks challenge. I stamped this Julie Nutting doll onto a piece of watercoulour paper from my stash in order to make the dress and shoes. It's just el cheapo watercolour paper dunked in a puddle of Dylusions ink spray and water.
I also stamped the doll on cardstock, coloured her with pencils and Copics, then fussy cut the dress and shoes from the watercolour piece and stuck them on top of the body. After I had adhered her to the background, I decided to add the lace. If there is a difficult order of doing something, I will find it!!
The background was made with Distress Oxides. Santa decided I needed a set of 12 Distress Oxides all the way from America via Amazon, gosh I love Santa! I did a bit of stenciling, sponging and stamping with the inks.
Thank you for looking. I hope you have a happy, inky week.

Wow, Susie, such sunny, warm, beautiful colours: those in themselves will be a tonic and raise Annie's spirits. That dress is stunning and the addition of the lace is a knockout. How on earth did you manage it after you'd already stuck her down? But I've done things like that too.... I always used to want a lace petticoat, LOL. Oh my, the height of her heels, how can she walk!!!

Absolutely gorgeous Susie! Love the background, her dress is definitely a couture creation and and those little details like her necklace and the lace trim finish it to perfection!

You are a magician with those oxide inks!! Santa sure got it right when he dropped those off at your house! I really love the colors and that skirt...where to begin..I LOVE the lace...I love the fact that it's sort of suspended on the card..it probably twirls around on its own...I'm sure Annie is going to love this and she'll be getting 2 cards from Down Under (Sue made one, too)...Your art work is AMAZING!

So true, Susie! I am headed to the post office in a little while with a card for Annie and one for Australia. My DH said, "Gee, you have friends all over." This is an amazing creation. That skirt is unbelievable! I wish I could see Annie's face when she opens this beauty.

Susie, I adore this card. I love the "doll" and the way you layered her skirt and added the lace petticoat peeking out. Your background work is beyond exact and perfect. Into my favorites. This is so absolutely over the top in fineness!!!

Oh my goodness Miss Susie every card I see from you is just so super lovely and this girl is just incredible. Wonderful colors, coloring, layout and I just love the added touch of lace you added too. Swoon!!!! Anita's mom is really going to fall all over herself getting this beauty in the mail. And adding the lace after placing the image....oh how I have done that more than once and probably in the last month. Giggles!!! You just make me smile.

Glamour Gal, she is a beauty! I love the texture of the lace slip showing just beneath the hemline. I also like the different texture in your background.
