I just had surgery yesterday, so I wasn't sure if I would be feeling up to making cards for a few days...but boredom has won out! I combined yesterday's Ways to Use It challenge- to use a unique brad- and today's Limited Supply Challenge- A Heartfelt Pick-Me-Up. And boy was it tough to stick to the supply list. We could use 2-3 stamps, one dp OR one embellishment, one specialty tool, limited layers, any coloring tool.
I pulled my Loving Hears set out, I really like it and thought it would be perfect for the challenges. My card has only three layers. The bottom layer is wild wasabi, the partial layer is groovy guava, and then there is the white panel with the hearts. The guava hearts are stamped directly on the white. The pomegranate heart was stamped seperately, cut out, and then adhered to the white (so I guess that makes a fourth layer, sorry). I masked the white panel and sponged a wasabi border around it, to give the appearance of another layer. The sentiment is from Fiskar's clear stamps. It was stamped in versamark and embossed with clear ep. I stamped the friends heart is pomegranate and put my blingy brad in the middle. I got them a couple of weeks ago and boy have I been hoarding them! I added the pomegranate strip because the card was looking like it was kinda empty.
This one was pretty easy and basic, exactly what I needed. I hope you like it and thanks for looking!
