Today's sketch challenge was really great. I decided to make a card for the DH. I am always making cards and getting his input, so I thought maybe I should make him a little something.
I really wanted to use my choc. chip satin ribbon, so I had to coordinate some colors to go with it. I finally decided on brocade blue. I also wanted to use my Boho Blossoms set from MFT, but not make it too girly. I stamped the main heart in ruby red- wanted it to pop. I then masked it and stamped the scrolled heart in brocade blue on either side of the red heart. I sponged blue around the edges of the panel and matted it with choc. chip. I then put in some antique brass brads with the crop-a-dile. I stamped the sentiment from Loving Hears in ruby red and sponged the edges in brocade blue. I made faux brads with the crop-a-dile. I used my speckled jumbo wheel with brocade blue ink on the brocade blue panels. I added the strips of ribbon and the brads in the corners of the large base panel. I think the DH will like it, and hopefully it is masculine enough.
Thanks for looking and I hope you like it!
