Today is a somber day. My heart is heavy for my friend Julia.
This Hero Arts stamp spoke to me as I looked for an image to make a card for her. Julia loves flowers, and by the looks of her garden, so did her Mom.
It was stamped on a large, Fabriano Medioevalis card (4 1/2 x 6 3/4) using Palette noir ink. Then I watercoloerd it using all of the new, SU! colors: pomegranate, guava, wasabi, blue bayou, soft sky, and a touch of the soon to be retired marigold. Stickles add a bit of subtle sparkle.
I sponged marigold around the upper two thirds of the card, drew in a bit of grounding, then sponged that with a mixture of river rock and sahara sand. A PaperTrey sentiment conveys the perfect message.

Trudee - I am sure this will bring a smile to Julia. I am sorry for your friend. I just lost my husband last month and I know the comfort a card from a friend brings. TFS

Gorgeous! I'm so glad you posted this. I bought this stamp a month ago and now it just sits there. You have inspired me to pull it out again. The beauty of your card will be a comfort to your friend, so sorry.
Friends are like the walls of a house. Sometimes they hold you up, sometimes you lean on them. But sometimes, it's enough to know they're just standing by.
