 | | These adorable little polar bears arrived in my mailbox this morning from my dear friend Shelley. Figuring one good polar bear deserves another. . . I just so happened to have this stamp set, which I don't think she knows! I can't wait until she gets this card!
There is so much glitter on this card I might need an extra stamp to mail it! The NON layer was first sprayed with a hair spray/Pearl-Ex mixture, giving it a starry, snowy look. Then I sprayed it very lightly with spray glue, and dusted it with DD glitter. The polar bears are silver embossed, cut out, and painted with Twinkling H2O's, then dusted thickly with more glitter while the paint was wet. I gave it a finishing coat of acrylic spray for protection, and popped them up on Dimensionals. I left the glitter off the scarves for contrast, and painted them with Crystal Effects. The star is also done with Twink's, painted with CE, and dusted with glitter. The tag is given the same treatment, turning it into a small glitter window, with a final coat of Versamark and clear EP. Of course, the torn paper edges are embossed with Versamark and Iridescent Ice EP. The final glittery touch is the Swarovski crystals on the tag's embellishment, the center of the star, and on the bears' noses.
Thanks for looking, and Happy Holidays to Everyone!
