Layers of Mistletoe

I'm so excited to be Guest Designing for June's Fan Club Christmas Challenge (SCSCCJUN26). Thanks to Angie for inviting me!

I used a mistletoe die, cutting twice before watercolouring with distress re-inkers. I used some Sparkle acrylic paint for the berries.

The background panel is dry embossed with the Geometric Embossing Folder (Penny Black) and popped up over the card base, which had been stamped with the sentiment (Banner Sentiments - Penny Black) in red DOX ink. The mistletoe sprigs are shaped with a stylus and layered over top creating lots of texture and dimension.

Loll, first, thank you for sharing your talents with us in the Fan Club Christmas Challenge this month! Your cards are always exquisite, and this is truly gorgeous. The striking green mistletoe and red ribbon create a beautiful focal point against the crisp white space, and your shading on the leaves gives it such a realistic, dimensional feel. Simply stunning!

Beautiful card, Loll. I love the traditional colors of green and red you used. Your berries look so pretty with the sparkle paint. All stands out on the white background. So happy you joined us this month.

Beautiful Christmas card, Loll. The layered mistletoe is lovely...and accurately depicted with white(pearl) berries. The textured bg is wonderful added interest.
