 | | For Alpha Challenge Letter Q, I didn't have quinacridone magenta, so I mixed it from suggestions on Golden paint mixing. I used a good dollop of QUINACRIDONE Red and added 2 drops of Phthalo Blue and it's a perfect match for QUINACRIDONE MAGENTA in real life, even though it doesn't look anything like it here, lol. I painted a piece of Holtz watercolour paper with it, and splattered it with shimmer spray and cut the flowers and buds.
I stamped diagonal stripes on a piece of tracing paper, heat embossed it with clear powder, cut out a vase, used a pencil to sketch the vases's outline, and turned it over before attaching it to the card base with double-sided adhesive. I cut the pistil, leaves, and stem from scraps, and assembled the pieces, using a little foam tape to lift the ends of the flower petals. I die-cut the words and popped them up on foam tape, as well. |
