Chat is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has given us three bold colors to work with: Garden Green, Blackberry Bliss and Pretty Peacock. The dessert option is "anything goes." I took advantage of that option to brighten up and lighten up my palette by adding a medium pink color.
I really like this sweet set, Buds & Blossoms, and I've used it before quite successfully. This week, though, I had no mojo. This card is not my first attempt at CC1105. I used a completely different set, and it was a total disaster. On to Buds & Blossoms, and I think I did OK with the background, but the central bouquet gets lost, even though there is a little vellum doily behind it. I felt as though I was adding lipstick to a pig when I added a few white rhinestones, a pink bow and some Wink of Stella on the central flowers.

I really like your card Barbara. I think you used the set quite successfully with this card as well. Sometimes we are our own worst critics. You did great for whatever occasion you will use this card.

Beautiful! What a great all-occasion card that is not defined for any particular season, holiday or event. A great one to have on hand. So pretty and happy! I call it a success!

Adding lipstick to a pig.....bahaha, your card is fine but I'm sorta glad you aren't thrilled with it because your write up was just the touch of humor I needed today.....I love those pretty little buds though. The dsp is beautiful....it's a very pretty card!! I know that feeling though, I struggled like that a few weeks ago with red, navy and coastal cabana and circular filed at least 3 cards before getting one I liked. Some days are like that, but your card is very sweet!
This is lovely, Barbara! I love the stenciled panel you created! The die cut buds do get a little lost, but they're really pretty! Maybe white behind them would help!
