 | | For this week's Tea Party we are making weird and funny cards for our own Ann (jdmommy). This was such a fun challenge that it inspired me to make two cards. This is the second one.
A while back, a fellow Tea Potter sent me some humorous sentiments in our monthly card exchange, and this challenge seemed like the perfect opportunity to use them.
The lady kissing an octopus came from an ephemera book filled with images of surreal people. And I confess, until this challenge, I was unsure how I would ever use it. But, when paired with this sentiment, it works perfectly.
The actual construction of the card was very simple. I fussy cut the main image. Then I paired it with some paper that matched the colors in the image, and also had a pattern resembling bubbles. Lastly, I added the sentiment, before adhering the whole thing to a turquoise card base.
I admit that this card may be more "weird" than "goofy", but I hope it makes Ann smile. |
