for today's color challenge I went with a non-traditional birthday card for the winter, as my DD has a December birthday. Masked the center and added a bird with a hollowed out gourd nest. Finished with a hand lettered sentiment.

You have some wonderful winter foliage on this pretty birthday card. Isn't it so sweet to see a bird using a gourd as her nesting site. My DH pointed out to me that black bird parents built their nest in a hole in our maple tree the other day and the eggs have hatched. So cute~
