 | | Our challenge this week is to feature something we collect. I love to bring home shells from walks on the beach, especially from favorite places, such as Martha's Vineyard. To make this card, I tore a piece of Crumb Cake for the sand and mounted it with sky DSP on a double matte of white and lavender. The stamp of the woman has her dangling her legs off a boat. I colored her with watercolor pencils and fussy cut, leaving out the boat so I could tuck her up on the dunes. I sprinkled real Martha's Vineyard sand over some Nuvo glue and added a couple of tiny shells (from a craft store - I can't part with any of my found treasures!) The card base is So Saffron, which I thought picked up the yellow in her straw hat. Making this card really made me happy...I may have to make another for myself! TFL |
