A Christmas Sing-A-Long...Simply Add Music!
Added to Favorite

Photo Details
Poster: Chatterbox-1

With my two current goals to pare down my Christmas "To Do" stash of partly finished cards and/or kits and continue my "SCS challenge catch-up," I was able to find 13 challenges that fit my card design. Here is the list:

1) CCC20MAR - Christmas Card Challenge/ "Peace" - 3/1/20. Make a card that brings you peace. One of my favorite things at Christmas time is listening or participating in Christmas music...it soothes my soul. I love soft and peaceful Christmas music...one of my favorites "Silent Night!"

2) F4A522 - Free 4 All Challenge/ "What a Fun Memory" - 2/21/20. My card commemorates Christmas Eve singing both as a child and an adult. As a child Christmas Eve meant singing in the Children's Choir at midnight Mass. For the last 39 years, our family tradition is to attend the Christmas Eve Mass and join in the sing-a-long that happens as our church community and visitors gather about 45 minutes before services to participate in Christmas caroling. Our lead guitarist begins the first three or four hymns and then the congregation is encouraged to shout out their suggested favorites and the page number in the hymnal. We always know Mass is about to begin when we move into Jingles Bells!

3) AOCC20 - All Occasion Card Challenge/ February 2020. This is for part of my February Christmas card stash needed.

4) USEIT2020 - Use It Challenge - 2/1/20. Use items that haven't been used and are gathering dust..."old, old" or "new but old." This is an old 2017 card design and kit that has been waiting around to be finished, modified, and embellished upon!

5) SC786 - Sketch Challenge - 1/29/20. Here is a link to the sketch: Sketch #786. I have taken a bit of liberty with the sketch. I've downsized the #1(black mat layer) area of the card and upsized #2, #3, and #4 areas. I've also added a horizontal band to divided area #2 (buffalo check) and #3 (music).

6) WT765 - Ways to Use It/ "Music for All" - 11/17/19. I've made a Christmas music themed card.

7) SCSCCNOV19 - SCS Dirty Dozen Monthly Christmas Cards-- November 2019/ "Keep It Warm People" - 11/15/19. My card may be stretching the theme a bit as it reflects the Christmas music of carolers, which conjures up pictures of them all bundled up in coats, hats, and mittens to keep warm as they truck from home to home on a snowy winter night.

ABC11M13 - Alphabet Challenge, Round 11/ "Letter M" - 5/29/19. My letter "M" = music. (The optional double challenge not entered).

9) MMTPT564 - Teapot Challenge/ "Happy Songs" - 5/14/19. My card is a musical Christmas card. Christmas music is always so uplifting, heart-warming, and joyful, which I think fits the challenge requirements nicely.

10) CAS524 - Clean & Simple/ "We Got the Beat" - 3/11/19. My card is a Christmas musical theme.

11) CT0618 - SCS Dirty Dozen Monthly Themes/ "Keeping Score" - 6/15/18. The theme is all about music and/or scores. My card is a music themed Christmas card.

12) IC643 - Inspiration Challenge/ "Signals" - 3/31/18. This musical necklace was my inspiration for a musical card: Music Lover's Necklace. It became a Christmas card because my Christmas stash was looking rather meager!

13) FS573 - Featured Stamper Challenge/ "She Cares for Bears" - 1/28/18. Karen aka KareBear51 has a lovely gallery that I enjoyed browsing! I chose this card because of its Christmas music theme: A Conspiracy of Love card. I kept her Christmas musical theme, but changed my layout and color scheme, but kept the sentiment focal point and horizontal band.

Ingredients: Stampin' Up products: Cardstock--Old Olive, Basic Black, Whisper White. Patterned paper: Merry Little Christmas dsp; Merry Music Specialty dsp (2017 Holiday). Stamps--Snowflake Sentiments (2017 Holiday). Rhinestones--Black Jewels (2017 Holiday). Size: 4-3/4 x 6 inches.

What a great guy or young person Christmas card! The buffalo plaid in black and green looks wonderful. I really like the pairing with the musical DP above!
