For my bg I applied texture paste through a stencil, When that was dry I spritzed it with water and sprinkled on brushos. This was repeated a few times until I got the coverage I wanted. After this was dry, I stamped some black circles on it and painted inside those circles with gesso. My next step was to add some gold paint through a small circle stencil and then I spritzed on a bit of ink spray. The rest is pretty self explanatory....I added the silver shreds as I thought it needed a little something extra and I ran across the bag of shreds when I was looking for something else. The silver shreds were a great find, they look absolutely fantastic on your already-gorgeous background. The way the paste has resisted the colours gives a great misty, spooky look.
