 | | I started by stamping the flower in Soft Pool ink onto a panel of mixed media paper. I colored it with my Inktense pencils, using a damp paintbrush to pick up the color from the pencils & apply it to the paper. I had to go over it a few times to get the depth of color I wanted. Finally, I used a white gel pen to accent the stamens. After I finished and the color had dried, I wet around the edges of the panel with clear water. I then brushed on Blue Gold watercolor from the Starry Colors set, just to give a little "antique glow" to the panel.
I cut the wonky panels for along the right side from 4 different patterned papers from my scrap stash. I adhered them & my focal panel to a piece of plum cardstock, and finally mounted that to a white card base. |
