 | | I stamped the image onto a panel of mixed media paper, and colored it with my Inktense pencils. I used my typical method of picking up the color from the pencils with a damp paintbrush, and applying it to the paper. This gives me much more control over the intensity of the color, and I don't have pencil lines that won't dissolve. After the image had dried, I went over the mouse's eye with a black glaze pen. When that was dry, I added a highlight with a white gel pen.
I decided to keep this card simple and let the image take center stage, without a greeting. I did want a bit of interest in the background, though, so I stenciled a raindrop pattern (apropos, I think!) with Shaded Lilac ink onto a panel of lavender cardstock. I adhered my image panel, centered on the background, and adhered my patterned paper strips around that. Finally, I mounted my card front to a white card base. |
