Here's my card for the Ways to Use It Challenge - Coffee or Tea - I drink both but more coffee than tea at the moment so I got out my ARTplorations Coffee Cup stencil. I used a technique from Tim Holtz Compendium of Curiosities Vol III page 48 called Layering Stencil Monoprint. I took the stencil, turned it over on my craft mat and rubbed my Ranger Distress Vintage Photo ink pad all over the stencil. Then I lightly spritzed it with water. I flipped it over onto a 4" x 5 1/4" panel of Rustic Cream card stock and quickly pressed over the stencil to be sure the watery ink touched all the surfaces. I removed the stencil and dried the panel with my heat tool. So it's like a negative of the stencil! To finish the look - I flicked some water on the panel with my fingers - the Distress inks are water base so they react with the water and leave nice water marks. Cool huh??!!
I sponged over the panel with Stormy Sky Distress Ink and then stamped this fun sentiment from the new Coffee Set from Waltzingmouse .

That coffee stencil is fabulous! Against your gorgeous background, it makes me think of the designs on top of a mug of coffee. I can't believe that it's a monoprint, the coffee design has so much dimension that I thought you'd used some sort of paste.

Oh yes like Sabrina said it looked like you used paste on this. I love the great dimensional feel to this card and wonderful color you were able to achieve in this card. Thank you for making a card for the WTUI Coffee or Tea challenge.
