Garden Arbor Birdhouse Giftbox
Added to Favorite

Photo Details
Poster: mcost

Here's my 3D birdhouse that I created for the fourth VSN challenge this weekend. When I first read the challenge, I thought there was no way I could get this done in the alotted 45 min. But the template from Nicole Heady that Crafty Math Chick gave us the link for was really easy. I just printed it out right onto the paper I was using, stamped/embossed the diamond BG, then stamped/colored the flowers. I used the Spellbinders Scalloped Square and Scalloped Rectangles (which I don't think I have used in years) for the roof and the bottom. I did alter the template just a bit so that the roof lifts up on one side so that I can put a gift/candy inside. I added a small tab that sticks up and put Velcro on it so that the roof flap would stay closed. Fun little project!

This turned out adorable, I had the exact same thoughts and I used this pattern too but I didn't have the right dies for the roof and base. I will put mine by my plants on the coffee table

Oh my, how very dainty and pretty this is. I was pleasantly surprised to find that when I focussed I could finish one in the allotted time.

Super cute!!! Aha! Great idea using velcro, not sure why I didn't think of that for mine since I just used them on a flap card! Thanks for the idea! Love the colors of your birdhouse!
