This is my fourth project for the September Creative Crew challenges. I was psyched about using the Domestic Goddess papers (my favorite pack this year), but I kept going back and forth between various ideas, then finally settled for this page when I remembered I had a picture of my mother's rolled cake.
This is one of my mother's recipes of one of our favorite cakes that she does. The Domestic Goddess papers were perfect for a cooking page, and for inspiration, I leafed through a Scrapbooks Etc. magazine (December 2010 issue) and wrote down some details I liked from pages published in it.
Here are the elements I incorporated:
- Tabs on side of picture
- Stitching around page elements
- Heart chipboard
I really, really hope to see a lot of you playing along with the scrapbooking challenges. I am always on the lookout for cute SUO pages and I would love to see yours!
And before you ask, I only have a French version of the recipe aforementioned...
TFL!

This is a gorgeous page, but I sure do wish you had that recipe in english!
All your elements you added are great. I have been wondering what to do with those big buttons, and I love how you dressed it up here!

Awesome awesome. Love that you took a picture of your mom's cake!!
What a great page. My mom's "famous" recipe wouldn't make nearly as pretty
a page as this unfortunately. How would you scrap a Borscht page LOL?? !!!:p
