This is the first card I created for the September Creative Crew challenges. I didn't have the Timeless Portrait papers so I drew inspiration from the gorgeous color combo. Since this month's theme is centered around transformation, I also used inspiration from a card found on page 61 Paper Crafts' Card Ideas for Paper Crafters #which I received a copy of since I have two cards published in it - woo-hoo!#. I drew from the overall design and framed portrait.
The seam binding was scrunched up and spritzed with Gold Smooch Spray. The silhouette was black-embossed and I created a negative mask to add En français in the background of the frame. I matted the frame with a punched tag from the Four Frames set.
I used the tree stamp in the background and the clock image on my Cherry Cobbler panel. The sentiment #which reads, "Happy Birthday"#, was also embossed in black, and I wheeled the background with the Texture wheel. Every piece was sponged and I added a few pearls to complete the vintage look.
I think this might be my favorite project of the month. I hope you like it, too!
TFL!
