...and I'm not talking arm pits here. hehe If we have enough pits, maybe Bertie will teach us her technique in flinging them! ....again hehe....I'm sure someone is probably scratching their head thinking what on earth am I talking about. Well...go here and see what all the cherry and pit talk is about.......my card....
Our destination today is for Mudder's niece who has that horrible thing called cancer. I tried to make a card that would cheer Shari up and take her mind off, if only for a few minutes, her pain. So I included a scotty dog to remind her of her new puppy Nessie. ONLY I didn't see the part where her puppy is white.
To redeem myself, my puppy here which is from Rubbernecker Stamps, is Nessie's brother just checking in on the family. AND as you probably already noticed Curt is checking in on them too. I just can't control him. He just popped his head right through the card!
For my cherry tree I used a stencil, sponged with color, then versamark and crystal ep.
I made a stencil which I used for the green bushes and the blue sky.
Drew the head poppin through the card Curt, pits and strem. The scotty dog was stamped, clear ep'd and colored with prisma pencils, gamsol and copic markers. Curt was colored with copics.
Used my Mutnik square for the borders around Curt and the card. Added the little flower because I am such a messy stamper and accidentally left a smudge on the corner.
Well, hope Shari likes this even tho the doggie is black not white like hers... Hope you all are having a great week.....TFL :0)

This is so cute, Cathy! I love the dog (his eyebrows and tounge) and Curt, who just had to get in the picture!!Just look at all those pits ready to fling... I don't see any cherry stems tied into knots, I used to know someone that could do that with their tongue.

This is adorable, and guaranteed to make Shari smile, if not laugh out loud. Nessie's brother is so cute, and Curt, as always, the handsome bovine. Love the pile of pits and sponging. I had to add a couple leaves to cover smudges too, but I didn't fess up to it until now.

I see Nessie and Curt becoming BFF in the future. Would Curt mind making the move to Colorado as I doubt if Shari will let Nessie leave. Never mind, where would Shari put Curt? Oh my goodness I think I have had too much cherry tea. Bottom line is I love the card.

This should bring a huge smile to Shari's face. Glad to see Curt decided to make it to the party. Can he help fling some of those pits you brought too? Your stenciled sky and bushes are really great with your cherry tree. Love your cute little Scotty too.

Another cute scene you created, Cathy - with a whole fun story behind it!! You always make them so bright, colorful and funny - I know you said you don't lead a secret life as a cartoonist, but you COULD!!! Thanks for the smiles - bet Shari will love it too.
