I made this card for OLW34...to make a one layer card with one image stamp and a sentiment...no embellishments...none, nada...the site is found here, if you are up for the challenge: http://stylesink.ca/2010/12/28/one-l...day-boot-camp/
I used a tree scape and a quote...masking and sponging the tallest(and most likely the oldest) of the trees, and sponged old olive and baja breeze(have heard lots of stampers say it...but me too...I LOVE this color!!) to make a spotlight of that tree to go with the sentiment. Fun and simple challenge...thanks, Jennifer, and thanks for taking a look! Have a great weekend!!
OOPS...I didn't read the fine print finely enough...didn't know there was a limit on colors...I used 2 colors + black(a debated "color"...but alas a color?!)...so I'm on to make yet another card to conquer this challenge!!!

Lisa, love your card, its definitely a one layer wonder - I love how you put those colors behind the tree and teamed up this stamp with the sentiment. And just thinking, I buy two different ink refills for my printer - color and black - so that means black doesn't count as "color", right???!!

Hi Lisa!!!! It was so nice of you to stop by to take a peek at my OLW card! I think yours is fabulous!! What a great scene, and I love how you used spotlighting on the most aged tree. That's a great quote, too. Happy New Year, my friend!!

Gorgeous CAS Card. This is definitely going into my favs. I love how you highlighted the "old tree" with color. Very clever; the sentiment is perfect. Oh and, I only see two colors; blue and green.
Trying to remember this from art class some 40 years ago, but if I not dead on, I know I'm at least close. All colors are some combination of blue, yellow and red; with varying levels of Hue, Saturated light and values.
Black is none of these; on the color wheel it stands alone, excluded from the color spectrum.
Again, forty years ago so if I'm wrong, please forgive this old womans faulty memory.
