This is for F4A45 to make a project reflecting one of our New Year's resolutions. I seem to spend all my time inside. I'm at work, in the car or in the house all the time. I seem to make very time to be outside enjoying the gorgeous Florida sunshine and plant life. It would be really great if I could discipline myself to get out and walk for exercise but since that is probably a pipe dream I could at least resolve to sit in the sun and enjoy reading.
I cut out a scalloped square with my my new Chritmas toys and masked the scalloped edges to create a frame for my scene. I sponged color on the sky, tree top, water line and ground area and stamped the mini fern image for grass and and leaves. I stamped the chair image twice and colored them both. I cut portions of one chair out to pop up on the second one to create dimension. I painted in the tree trunk and limbs with a brush and attached the chair to the scene with glue dots. I tucked in punched greenery all around the chair and on the opposite corner from the chair leaving space open for the little brown path. I I stamped each little piece of punched greenery with the mini fern stamp to give them texture to blend into the scene. I attached three flower roses (even though they are a little too large) in the greenery to create a garden effect. The finishing touch was to add light touches of glitter to some of the leaves, flowers and on the water to add a little whimsey to the whole project. I wouldn't mind sitting in that chair and gazing out over the beautiful water.

If I had somewhere like that to sit, and sunshine (what's that?) you wouldn't get me indoors. I always find it harder to make cards in the summer days when I'd rather be out in the garden. Beautiful peaceful scene with the tree for shade and the sparkly water.

Kittie, I am totally amazed at the depth your scene conveys, it's almost like the water is really back there, and the greenery, it just looks all layered up and dimensional like greenery really does. But never mind all that - it's sensationally beautiful to look at - just inspires thoughts of peace, serenity and beauty - it's very special, hope it goes to someone who will know just how special it is and all the wonderful artistry and craftmanship that went into it!
