First, thanks Stef for a great inspiration today.
Second, sorry for the poor quality photo. It's late, but it really is whisper white.
I chose to do my state flag, which really isn't a flag. The Ohio flag is a 'swallowtail design called a burgee' and was first flowen in Buffalo, NY! It has been the official flag of Ohio since 1902.
This proved to be more difficult than I frist thought. I had a devil of a time getting the proportions comparatively correct. It at least looks 'official' to me. I printed a the best pix of a buckeye nut that I could find. Of course you know that the Ohio nickname is Buckeyes and our state bird is the cardinal - which I have no cardinal images or I would've chosen to stamp!
I you are wondering about the star groupings, which I did w/ a white gel pen, there are 13 stars for the original 13 states, the 4 grouped together are for Ohio being the 17th state. The white & red circle is represent the O & also suggest the buckeye. And it is the only state flag w/ this shape.
Thanks for stopping by to take a peek.

OMG, I'm so glad you added the story to your flag. for a minute there, I thought you must have been having a really fun day with the bottle! I love your flag. It's really wonderful, Karen.

I'm another former Buckeye who was glad for the refresher class on the flag's history! Now that I'm in VA, I pass the Buckeye history on to my family at Christmas by making peanut butter balls and only partially dipping them in chocolate so they look like a buckeye.
