I get so inspired looking at everyone's beautiful cards.
I did this one for my DH. He's a seaman and loves ships. Don't know if it shows up good in the picture but I used the heating gun to singe the torn edges, then the sentiment is embossed with clear embossing powder. Hope you like it. TFL~

I was out and bought some glue so I can play with this challenge and do Beate's toot.
I've had pearle ex for almost 2 years and have never even opened it. guess it's time to blow the dust off of it and make something shimmery.
And then on to embossing--I love heat embossing and this challenge is a good reason to do some

This was done for the ways to use it challenge. I used a background stamp to emboss over cardstock and printed paper and the saying on the tag as well as the edges of the tag.
THINKING OF YOU
Here are a couple of ATC's that I did using the heated pearls technique and plain 'ol embossing. Thanks for the challenge, Julia S . . . and I know what you mean about not feeling right about stamping when your hubby is working on the house. I will put my stamps away for the same reason . . . guilt!! lol!
I used my heat gun to give heated pearls a try, plus just regular heat embossing. The heated pearls is such a fun technique, I'll definitely give it another whirl. I did a couple of shrinky dink seashells, but didn't use them here. Thanks for looking. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I'm having to share the computer with my kids now that they're on Summer Vacation, so I'm just now getting to post these. I'm not thrilled with the first one, but the other two turned out ok, I think.

Yuck, after looking at my first attempt, Yucky card I just couldn't stand it.The gold I tried around the edges began looking like mold to me, so I redid the card. I like this one much better.
Finally got to today's challenge but put in the keyword LSC67. Guess I'm jumping the gun! Oops. Maybe it'll match tomorrow's challenge too - lol. Won't find it in today's search though:(

OK, I just did today's challenge with the heat gun and I also did the Heated Pearls tutorial in the same card -- it was great fun!!! It is a Father's Day Card. Here it is:

I got a chance to do another card for this challenge. This time I challenged myself to try cracked glass, I love that technique! I actually had only been using my heat gun for heated foam. I was afraid to emboss but it rocks! I got over the anxiety by making a bunch of embossed cards for a swap and thought I might as well try cracked glass.
These challenges are just what I needed to break from my mold of stamp, cut, glue cards! I hope you like it! TFL and thanks for a great challenge!
