Fav Song: Anything Duran Duran or Pet Shop Boys
Fav Clothes: Neon day glow with leg warmers and no shoes (yes, in school even)
Fav Toy: ATARI!!!! (blip.... blip.... blip..... PONG RULES!!)
Oh the 80s - I'm older than you chickies! In 1981 I could legally drink so I was dancing to Don't You Want Me - Human League and Let it Whip by the Dazz Band and sipping down Gin and Squirts. Favorite Outfit for a clubbing - tight, short black skirt, white blouse and mandatory 4" pumps (okay, hold the hoochie comments!). Favorite game... well... some of us thought flirting was a serious game back then!
Now I listen to my 80s music on my ipod and wish I could still wear the outfit or at least the 4" heels!

ATARI! I forgot ATARI! My favorite game was...darn, I don't remember the name. Sec, my husband will know. Actually he didn't, but I'm sure it was Frostbite. And Freeway. I loved the chicken crossing the road. Man, too many memories...

My whole family used to play Seaquest together, and actually keep track of scores. It was so much fun to play with my Mom and Dad (and even my brother I guess.... ).

Favorite Toy: Hands down my Cabbage Patch Kids with my Simon coming in a close 2nd.

I made it! Dec 2006-July 2007!
My nonstamping, weight-loss blog sort of.
I think it's really sad that those beloved jelly bracelets have "new" meaning nowadays. (Try googling "jelly bracelets" and you'll see what I mean... just don't do it at work!!! LOL)

OMGosh, Pink-fish! Thanks for reminder! I forgot about anything Forenza!!! I must have had about 8 of the v-neck sweaters! (And my Mom probably still has and wears them since she's such a pack-rat!)
Soft Cell Tainted Love which I danced to endlessly at my now husband's frat parties. I wore a lot of acid washed jeans and preppy type clothes. I loved my preppy purse where you could change the cover to match your outfit. I know, how silly was that??
I was in middle and high school during the 80's so my favorite toys were my albums which I blasted on my old style stereo.
I had to reply to this since my 18-year-old always says I'm stuck in the 80's! I listen to mostly 80's music in the car and the 80's channel on my digital cable. I love it all! Clothes- I remember wearing shirts with ruffles down the front, colored ribbons around the neck, the scarves that you tied a knot at the bottom of, my navy blue sweater with the rainbow across the chest and arms, my Jordache jeans with my duck shoes. Oh the memories!!!!! Also loved atari!!! I played Breakaway or Breakthrough (can't remember the name) all the time with my grandma. Thanks for all the great memories!!!

Favorite Clothing: Jelly shoes ruled! Oh, and fluorescent socks too!
Favorite Toys: Cabbage Patch kids! I have 12 in a rubbermaid tote!

Wow, you guys have good memories. You're scaring me with all these flashbacks! I totally forgot about the duck shoes and Forenza v-necks (mine was magenta). Had my 9th grade picture taken in the ruffled shirt and my 10th grade picture taken in my polo shirt with the flipped up collar under a v-neck vest. Yikes!!!

Ok, well, my kids were born: 1982 (I was 22), 1986, 1987
so again, I am not in the same age group as most of you but i'd have to say:
songs: Talking heads (Little baby, Little peepee, little toes) was HUGE right around when my son was born, too much!...i too like half the songs you all mentioned, my oldest is a HUGE Bon Jovi fan, Def Leppard, Poison etc.
Foriegner and Boston and Aerosmith were my favs, and jefferson Starship, but I think they were all more popular from the late 70's then the 80's...I could be wrong. (I graduated in june 1978 )
My little pony was big, my daughter was into that. and we had atari and Intellivision. Fraggle Rock was the new biggie...as you can see on my avatar! My oldest still loves the fraggles!
I loved stirup leggings with wigwam socks (cheerleader socks) slouched down instead of folded...these used to be worn folded in the 70's, FYI! LOL
Favorite Song: Cruel Summer (banana-rama!!)
Favorite Clothing: jelly shoes (I had them in every color)
Favorite Toy: ohh, this is a tough one!! I really loved my strawberry shortcake girls, but I also loved collecting stickers for my sticker book!!!
OMG, I forgot about my sticker collection!!!! I LOVED my stickers!!!! I had a three-ring photo album with magnetic pages I used to put them in!!!! I wish I still had it!!! LOL!
Yikes - the 80's were scary at times. The lip gloss sliders were awesome, I had a tangerine one
Favorite Song: Anything by Bon Jovi - OK I spent the 80's with the nickname the metal maiden so I have a soft spot in my heart for all those hair bands and such
Favorite Clothing: I totally agree with the big shirts covering my b***and the socks - Oh yeah and my lettermen's jacket to top off - and don't forget the poofy hair - I also had a pair of boots that kind of were scrunched down
Favorite Toy: Atari

oh I completely forgot GLORIA VANDERBILT VELVET JEANS and of course My Calvin Klein's. those were my early foolish days with Macy's and A & S (Abraham & Strauss) credit cards! LOL
ok...what about movies.....BREAKFAST CLUB, anyone??
I *adore* Pretty in Pink. I love it. My mom taped the movie when it was on TV... and we'd watch it over and over and over again.
Last weekend, DH was flipping thru the channels... why do men do that? Anyway, I saw PIP was on, and I made him stop and watch it with me!!! I laughed because I was so naive in high school... I never saw any smoked illegal substances (KWIM?) and DH teases me for being such a goody-goody. Anyway, there's a scene in the movie where James Spader is rolling some.... and I'm like "I don't remember ever seeing that...." and my DH was like "that's because it was right under your nose and you never even realized what it was all those times you watched it!" Then I realized it was because I always watched the TV version!!! LOL...
Anyway, I love that movie. I love Jon Cryer. And I love Molli Ringwald's clothes. I *so* wanted to be like her.
I also love St. Elmo's Fire. It had the best soundtrack. They sure don't make movies like that anymore, do they. ;)
