Challenge Title: Just Add Water
Hostess: berlycece (Kim) Keyword: MAR20VSNMINI1 Date: Friday Feb 28 @ 5 pm EST
Welcome to our Spring Virtual Stamp Night - Mini style!
We know that spring doesn't start in the northern hemisphere for another month, but many of us are so ready for it! What better way to get ready than to focus on pretty FLOWERS!
I spent much of the early part of February with a nasty sinus infection. I had lots of prescriptions, and went through loads of kleenex (tissue) and had to drink tons of water to stay hydrated. As lousy as I felt, it inspired this challenge. (Never let hardship go wasted! )
Bring out your tissue paper (white or a pale color) and a bottle of water with a mister to create a background or die cuts using this Tissue Paper Watercolor tutorial:
Because the tissue paper needs to dry, you can add at least 20 minutes to your time. Not that we have VSN police...
Then to stick with the theme, include flowers in some form. It could be a stamped image, washi tape with a floral print, even flower shaped brads! (I have quite a collection of retired ones!)
Check out the samples made by several of our VSN hostesses. A few hostesses made multiple samples, so be sure to look at the full gallery. I can't wait to see what you create!

Woo Hoo and we are off, just have to upload my tickle card and get that out of the way but before I do that I am going to prepare the tissue paper.
Great challenge Kim I have ideas rolling around in my head.
I recently purchased some new craft sheets that I intended to use for this Challenge and some others. The craft sheets I bought a couple of years ago off of Amazon weren't available anymore so I tried a different brand. What a mess! I'm not sure why these were labeled craft sheets other than maybe they work for something that doesn't involve ink. I put dabs of ink from my little bottles on the sheet and it went right through the sheet onto my table. I was wondering if there was a good side and a bad side. So I wiped up the mess turn the mat over tried it again. Same result. But the second time I just spritzed the water on my white table and put the tissue paper right over it. I wasn't going to waste that ink! I got it cleaned up quickly so it didn't stain. But I definitely need to find different craft sheets. Nonetheless, I had fun making a mess and making my cards.:p

I ended up using markers and going over this tissue over and over each time it dried ( so it really took me hours and hours to do just that sheet but, its a huge piece and I have left overs) I kept walking away from it to let it dry in between layers.
